This is not your kids Incredible Hulk. This is not "Hulk SMASH!!" This is the story of a man, Dr. David Banner, truly struggling with the inner demon that dwells within him. Bill Bixby's charm, intelligence, warmth and depth bring life to Stan Lee's cartoon creation as TVs Banner. A great premiere, if straying from the true nature of the cartoon... Veteran TV Producer Kenneth Johnson turned this into a drama similar to that of the 1960s hit, The Fugitive, with Banner (the Hulk) on the run from an investigative reporter for a murder his alter ego did not commit. Joe Harnell's haunting piano brings Banner's loneliness & anguish to the forefront, as does Bixby's talents.

David Banner is a scientist who is seaching for the hidden superhuman stregnth that all humans have. During his research Banner meets different individuals who have had these episodes which were brought on by pain, anger, and fear. Banner is trying to make the connection between these individuals and their superhuman occurances. This film contains the first metamorphases of Banner becoming the HULK. This is a good example of science fiction at its best.

Bottom Line is this...Terrific Role model for everyone...Bixby always being good and trying to help others...Ferrigno By never hurting anyone and showing how sweet and tender he is...Loved the series and Hopefully Universal makes this series available SOON!.

i thought this movie was the best it had a lot of action and drama i recommend it to the hulk fan and non hulk fan

This film inspired me to speak out in rage due to the fact that this masterpiece has not received the recognition that is due to a production of such immense quality.

THIS MOVIE IS GREAT. BOTH BILL BIXBY AND LOU FERRIGNO ARE EXCELLENT. THIS IS BASED UPON MY FAVORITE COMIC BOOK HERO, BUT IT ALSO SUCCEEDS IN PROVIDING THE AUDIENCE WITH SOME NECESSARY DRAMA. THUS, SHOWING US ALL THAT THIS IS NOT ONLY FOR CHILDREN,BUT FOR ADULT VIEWERS AS WELL.
THIS MOVIE AND THE TELEVISION SERIES BOTH HAD TO BE ADAPTED FOR THE SCREEN. IN DOING SUCH, IT VARIED QUITE A BIT FROM THE COMIC BOOK!!
IT IS A FANTASTIC FANTASY STORY WITH A SCIENCE FICTION BACKGROUND AND SOME DRAMA THROWN INFOR GOOD MEASURE!!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND YOU PROBABLY WILL ALSO!!!

I think that it is cool that David Banner is still ripping major-holes in many of his shirts and look like strings of spagehette.When he transforms into the huge green beast.But he always inspired me to exercise and be active on my home-gym.I recommend that everyone who watches the movie should be active and exercise a lot!!The Green Machine made me do it Why not you?

Love this movie loved the cool break away package however I rate this a 2 because the digital copy that came with the movie expired 2 years ago. I contacted universal and even they would not give me a code that would let me use digital copy. Feel like I didn't get what I paid for.

The original Incredible Hulk TV movie was way ahead of it's time. The characters are believable, the acting is good, and the writing is great. This movie avoided the traps that most comic book adaptions fall into where they are trying to impress us with special effects and over the top villains. To this day no comic book adaption has matched the sincerity nor the intelligence displayed in "The Incredible Hulk". The only negative comment that I would like to pass on is in regards to the tape quality. The movie is 22 years old and it shows {painfully in certain parts}. Hopefully Universal will have these remastered and soon. The low quality however still isn't enough to spoil your viewing pleasure.

Love the box and the movie, The hulk was so real and close to the story line, great movie.Hope they make a 3rd one.
