This 2 CD set is an excellent buy. It takes me way back and there isn't a bad song on either of the CD's. All original recordings. You could spend a tremendous amount of time trying to gather this many great songs together. Love it...:)

when you get a Set like this you start trying to go back to a time when you couldn't wait to turn on yoru radio&Sing along to the songs.this Set has so many Great Soulful classics that you feel them like they came out yesterday.this Compilation captures a very Soulful time period in R&B Music&you gotta have it.

The Incredible Soul Collection is an awesome 2-CD collection of some of the best songs from the 60's and 70's. Aretha, Marvin, Ray, Otis, Sam & Dave, and Gladys Knight and the Pips are just a few of the great artists on this collection.

This set is great to put in on a long drive, or on a lazy weekend afternoon. It makes you nostalgic and wistful on one hand, and grateful on the other hand that this music still lives and breathes in the hearts and minds of those of us who first experienced it so long ago.

Excuse me, but I have a long memory.
I grew up with Atlantic Soul and have a huge regard for Wilson Pickett, Ray Floyd, Otis and what we can now see was a 'Golden Age' of soul music.
At a certain point, 'the music died'(unquote), and 'soul lite' took over. The Chi Lites and co. do not make great soul music, and should be put to rest.
This recording is 80% brilliant, but is cursed with 20% filler on Disc 2. Be warned. It is important to tell the truth - don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Why must the pearls always be mixed with the dross?

I have always enjoyed the pure rush I feel when listening to the great hits of Motown, and this CD set is one of the best.
I actually asked for this set as a Christmas gift & enjoyed it so much that I ordered the same CD's for a good friend of mine.
The collection of songs is outstanding and makes road trips or just an afternoon of kicking back an absolute blast.

This CD has a super anthology of songs that you loved from the 60's & 70's, all the great artists, Marvin Gaye, the Commodores, Otis Redding, the Supremes, Aretha. If you like the Motown Sound, this is a great collection.

This CD is another great addition to my R&B Collection. With this CD, I feel like I'm battin' a thousand. It's a win-win CD no matter how you play it. Everybody's here on this CD. One song after another had me shouting out, "I know that one!", and doing my best imitation of each artist...you know the imitation, the one where you stand in front of a mirror with a brush, comb, pen or pencil in your hand and pretend, for that moment, that you are "that" artist, singing "that" song. I made a fool of myself, but hey...it's worth it. Love the CD.

If you enjoy Soul music, this is a great collection of songs! (That is if you don't already own the "greatest hits" collections of the Temptations, Ben E King, Aretha Franklin, etc.) However, even if you do own those collections, this set is still a worthwhile buy, as I haven't seen CDs sold for some of the artists, in this collection.

I Don't own this set, never even seen this set. All I have done is read the titles. If you have a good collection of soul selections already you probably won't want this item. If you don't, this is a perfect starter set. All of these songs are 100% great. Highly Recommended!

I cannot properly describe how pleased I am with this incredible collection of one-of-a-time and never-to-be-seen music artists of the day. I play it all the time. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys genuine 'Soul!' You wouldn't be disappointed.
