Review

In my 30 years of doing stunts, I've never seen stunts captured more perfectly. ----Dennis Madalone, stunt coordinator for Star Trek and The X-Files

Jeff is the Diane Arbus of the 21st century. ----Vince Streano, photographer and President Emeritus of the American Society of Media Photographers

They call me the number one stuntman in the world, and the reason they have is because Jeff took such great pictures. It's nice to work with the best of the best. ----Spanky Spangler, 19-time world record holder with 22,000 stunts in film, television, and live shows

About the Author

Jeffery R. Werner was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended Mankato State University where he spent 100 days sailing around the globe with the Semester at Sea program. It was for this journey that his father bought him his first camera. After graduating from Mankato with a dual degree in journalism and criminology, Werner began to freelance as a writer/photographer and has been doing so for almost three decades, visiting more than 60 countries in his photographic pursuits. Werner specializes in action photography, but he is also well-known for his work with exotic animals, celebrities in their homes, remote aboriginal people, side-show eccentrics and people who have overcome incredible obstacles. His work has been published in Day in the Life of Hollywood and in hundreds of magazines worldwide, including Life, Time, People, Marie Claire, Smithsonian, Playboy, and Maxim. Werner is also the founder and CEO of the Incredible Features photo agency. He is based in Los Angeles, California.

Great book, fantastic photographs... Mr. Werner is an amazing photographer, he captures the beauty and grace as well as the excitement of the moment. The tributes to Evel Knievel and Randy Hill were very tastefully done. I would recommend this book to anyone who like photography, stunts and excitement, because it has it all... About time stuntmen got a coffee table book of this quality.

I don't think there is anyone more proud than myself to finally view this Hard Copy Book - accomplished by Jeffery Werner.

After 17 years of working w Jeff / Incredible Features Inc, at his side, assiting and coordinating on many of these shoots, to see this in hard copy, simply takes my breath away.

I know how hard he worked to perfect each second of a image. Risking all professional elements that manifest stunt players - production crew to even reaching International Markets for fianl distribution. Very few photographers could never come close to Jeff's achievemnts and lifetime dedication.

How privledged can a gal like me be? I gained priceless memories of amazing moments captured.

Hope everyone can truly enjoy this Incredible but True Moment

Thank you.

For people who like high-octane visuals and don't want to leave their couch, check this out: a guy flying over not one but four helicopters in his chopper, a water-skiing champ flying through flames, no water immediately in sight. People covered in bees but no sting. From the Mojave Dessert to Montreal, Canada -- from Benson, Arizona to Brisbane Australia, Werner has traveled all over the world in his illustrious, 25-year plus career to capture these stunts and all are thrilling as well as cringe-worthy in the best way. Werner includes interviews with some of the top stunt people in the field. The worst part about this lovely coffee-table book is that the stories aren't long enough and it ends too soon.

This book illustrates the perfectionism of Jeffrey Werner! He does his due dilligence in setting up the camera shots to truly capture the thrill of the stunt. With the addition of computer animation in recent years, you tend to overlook the skill, passion and professionalism that goes into creating true action stunts. From both the performers to the cameramen and camerawomen, live action stunts offer the viewer a passage into fantasy that they don't truly get with computer animation.
We applaud the skills that this book truly shows! We appreciate the photographs and excitement we are filled with by even glancing through this magnificent book!
