About the Author
Jeffery R. Werner was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended Mankato State University where he spent 100 days sailing around the globe with the Semester at Sea program. It was for this journey that his father bought him his first camera. After graduating from Mankato with a dual degree in journalism and criminology, Werner began to freelance as a writer/photographer and has been doing so for almost three decades, visiting more than 60 countries in his photographic pursuits. Werner specializes in action photography, but he is also well-known for his work with exotic animals, celebrities in their homes, remote aboriginal people, side-show eccentrics and people who have overcome incredible obstacles. His work has been published in Day in the Life of Hollywood and in hundreds of magazines worldwide, including Life, Time, People, Marie Claire, Smithsonian, Playboy, and Maxim. Werner is also the founder and CEO of the Incredible Features photo agency. He is based in Los Angeles, California.
