5.0 out of 5 stars Good retelling of the movie, good artwork
My son literally checked the book out at the library three times, so I decided it was time to get him his own. The book does a good job of introducing the characters in the beginning, and then hitting the high points of the movie with accurate dialogue.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Incredibles, Manga version
If you want a real manga book, drawn by real artist, this is NOT the book to get. For being about 95 pages long, it explained everything fairly well, but it is composed of still pictures taken from the movie, and is not drawn by hand. This is what I was expecting (maybe I was being naive) but I was quite disappointed when I received this book. The dialogue skips out on a...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, May 9, 2006
This review is from: The Incredibles (Paperback)
This wonderful little book is a retelling of Pixar's smash hit movie, The Incredibles, in paperback form. Taking actual images from the movie, the creators of this book succeed in presenting the story in the closest manner possible to the experience of actually watching the movie.

Well, you can't please all of the people all of the time. But, as for me, I am very pleased with this book. I liked the way this book captures the look and feel of the movie, transporting me back to the theatre and the thrill of seeing the movie for the first time. If you want an authentic retelling of the movie, then you can't do better than this book. I give it my highest recommendations!

The dialogue skips out on a ton of important information, and several significant scenes (Violet catching a glimpse of Tony, Edna whacking Helen on the head with a rolled-up newspaper) were missing. Also, several scenes had the wrong dialogue in them. I would not really recommend this book to anyone who has memorized the movie by heart; You can almost guess what the characters will say next. I hope this review has been helpful.
