THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF TRUE DEATH METAL. THIS REVIEW WILL REFER TO BOTH INDECENT & OBSCENE AND PIECES.
FIRST "INDECENT & OBSCENE" 9 SONGS OF SOME OF THE BEST DEATH METAL EVER. THE OPENNING "FLESHLESS" IS IS AWSOME AND IT WILL KICK YOUR ASS. BY THE WAY THE VOCALS ON THIS ALBUM SICK. ITS LIKE SWEEDISH OBITUARY. THE GUITARS ARE REALLY HEAVY AND LOW TUNED. THIS WHOLE ALBUM HAS GOOD PRODUCTION.
SECOND "PIECES" THE 6 SONGS WERE FROM PIECES EP AND ITS AWSOME. THE BEST TRACK FOR ME IS THE SONG "PIECES". PICK THIS UP YOU'LL LOVE IT.

wow! I recieved this in the mail yesterday and the minute I put in my cd player I was blown away by the intensity of the guitar and drum work this is indeed a great death metal album ah and the funny thing is that I found out about this band when a friend let me borrow a box set of DVDs called Traces of Death which included many death metal bands I found to be very interesting so i decided to purchase this album from this particularly very talented yet underrated band simply magnificant work although I think the last 6 tracks seemed to have had slightly better production than the first 9 anyways this is a MUST HAVE for all death metal fans

If you like fast, hard hitting metal heres your album. The guitars on this album are totally brutal in tone and in speed! Dismembers singer has a similar sound to Morgoth , or Obituary (not real low and deep but good and raspy).This band doesn't get the recognition they deserve, and musically they are very talented. I strongly reccommend this album to any of you who enjoy old school death metal.

I've like Dismember for years now. This is a classic release of epic proportions. It is old School Death Metal, but refined. Dismember is a great Death Metal band. If you don't have this then you aren't a true Death Metal fan.

For the uninformed..the German made digpack reissiue of this did have the peice's ep thrown on which was nice.. but THIS version has the lyric's and INFO on the band member's and the thanx list..etc ..SO GET THIS VERSION!!

This is really..in all honestey..THE HEAVIEST GOD DAMN THING I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!! NOTHING CAN COME CLOSE..THE SOUND OF THE GUITAR's IS JUST PAIN!!!! IT HURT's TO LISTEN TO THIS ON HEADPHONE'S..IT HURT's!!!!!

Now everey song here is beyond all you could hope for in a DEATH METAL ALBUM(this is one the best ever!!) but ''DREAMING IN RED'' is prob the BEST SONG EVER!! haha..yes it is..the solo on the begining of this song is the most BEAUTIFUL thing..EVER!!AHHHHH!! THIS SONG IS LIFE IT SELF!!!

SO YEAH..there ya have it..ONE OF THE BEST IN DEATH METAL..YOU HAVE NO EXSCUSE FOR NOT HAVING IT!!! BUY IT ANYWAY YOU CAN GET IT!! TRY FOR THE ORIGINAL AS I SAID THOUGH!!

THIS HAS NO MATCH!!!!! IT WILL ALWAYS WIN!!!! HAIL's!!!!!!!

I'm not going to break this album down,but I will say this:I agree with the other fellow reviewers when they say Dismember are way talented and probably THE most underrated death metal band ever!This album is one of their older albums but I believe it is their crowning achievement.It is a classic and it is one of the ten best death metal albums ever!The track "Dreaming in Red"(which is really the last track on Indecent and Obscene,the other 6 songs are from Pieces I believe)is, believe me when I say,one of the single best songs ever!It takes me to a whole other strange plane.Try it under the influence of some reefer.Swedish Death Metal friggin' rules!

If want one of the greatest metal cds ever buy this.
