Book Description

NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY Best-selling Author, Judy Angelo, presents:

Volume 10:

GIVE ME A BABY...NO STRINGS ATTACHED

Melanie Parker is at the top of her game. Thirty-three years old, owner and CEO of Parker Broadcasting Corporation, with assets totaling over a billion dollars. There are many who would die to be in her shoes. But there’s one thing Melanie feels is missing from her life. A child. She’s always dreamed of one day being a mother but just never found the time to fall in love. And now time is running out. So she seeks out the one man who she knows can give her what she wants and will demand nothing in return, a man who’s a billionaire himself.

Sloane Quest can’t believe it when the owner of Parker Broadcasting Corporation – his biggest competitor in the media business – makes him the craziest of all proposals. The decision he makes is quick, and it probably defies all reason, but he has an ulterior motive which will not be denied.

Complications, intrigue and a baby bargain in the middle. Can love conquer all?

1.0 out of 5 stars What Story?? April 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Let me explain the reason behind my harsh rating.

The plot: Melanie Parker CEO of her family founded media empire is your every day typical billionaire who wants a baby before her internal clock ticks out. Who better to pick for a father than the extremely sexy and well known bad boy Sloan Quest arch rival CEO of his own billionaire media corporation. His genes, brains, money and the fact that he doesn't want to settle down makes him the perfect candidate for Melanie's proposal with no strings attached.

Problem: There was absolutely no character building, no depth, no story to read! Let me give you an example without giving away to much, although it is all very predictable.

Before Melanie drops the proposal to Sloan he catches up with his mates for lunch who are all married with children or getting married. Sloan clearly says he's happy living the bachelor life. It works perfectly for him. Then Melanie comes into it. He's shocked but agrees to giving her a baby if she'll marry him because that's what he believes in and he apparently had some sort of admiration for her since he laid eyes on Melanie all shy and geeky as a freshman fifteen years earlier while he was a senior.

Suddenly they're saying 'I do'. No seriously there is absolutely no story in between from where Melanie agrees to the terms to the time they get married a few months later. I was devastated. Did they hang out? Did they have anything in common. Go on dates? Meet the parents? Nothing!!

They said I Do walked past all their family and friends and BOOM their in their shack on their honeymoon. I expected conversations leading up to the wedding between Sloan and his friends as they tried to suss him out and determine what the hell happened. But noooo.

This story was so different and unique. It had me turning pages like crazy, just to find out what was going to happen next. There's also a lot of unexpected twists and turns that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

Would I recommend this book? Yes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It... Not your typical romance! March 27, 2013

Loved It... Not the typical romance, I have read thousands of them in my 50+ years. This one is just different enough so that I didn't already know what was to come!

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad boy? May 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Bad boy billionaire series? Yeah. Whatever! When I see a series with that name, I expect something juicy and hott. These books are so clichè, sweet , and lame that if would make your teeth hurt. Honestly, I bought this book on accident. I read one of her books before and thought it to be a huge waste.
Yes, it sounds like I'm bashing but I'm just being honest. However, I like the writer, kinda.I just feel she is writing in the wrong century maybe. She would be better in a historical fiction that was properly named. I feel I was sorely misled with the words "bad boy". False advertising to the max.

5.0 out of 5 stars Indecent Proposal April 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Angelo proves the best laid plans may not pan out, but sometimes life has a better way to the goal. Every book she has written that I have read has had a unique story with the most interesting of complications and this is no exception!! A good read for any mood.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet read! April 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I enjoyed this book and read it within a couple of hours. It seemed magical with the chemistry between Sloane and Melanie. Sloane was such a terrific man who never gave up on what he wanted. And Melanie was so relatable with her strong professionalism but vulnerable personal side. Loved the ending.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay March 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This wasn't a bad story but I wasn't blown away. I didn't really feel the characters fall in love so much as I was told they were in love.

2.0 out of 5 stars Easy read May 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
The book started off fine, but it did not build up to any climax. It rushed into every twist that essentially you knew it was coming. Also, the book had more than a few grammatical errors by leaving out words.

3.0 out of 5 stars A vanilla story
This was entertaining for a few hours. One of a series. I will NOT read the others. Predictable plot, smattering of sex, "happy" ending, etc., etc.,

More About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Best-Selling Author

If only so many billionaires were available! But hey, that's what fantasy and dreams are all about, right? With stories like these we can escape into a world where bad boy billionaires abound.

I fell in love with romance novels as a teenager and have never lost my passion for these stories of love and life, conflict and reconciliation, relationships and family. For me, it was a natural progression from reading romance novels to writing them (I've always loved creating stories of my own). There's just one little problem - I keep falling in love with each new hero I create. Would you call that cheating? (smile)

When I'm not writing, I'm reading psychology and neuroscience. Fascinating stuff! My book shelves are loaded with textbooks, right next to tons of romance novels. My son calls me a book nerd and I proudly accept the title. What can I say? Books are my life!
