5.0 out of 5 stars A proposal no Hip-Hop fan can turn down!
This new one from timbaland and magoo is the best cd that they did out of the three they have done so far. Every beat on this cd is T.I.G.H.T! and I couldnt skip not one track on this cd. The funny thing is that he made this cd so long ago but yet the beats sound so far ahead of some people that are out now and brings a whole new sound again. Let me break down the tight...

Timbaland & The Posse: The Outtakes! Is what it sounds like!

This man is a Genious!

He is by far the most Innovative (Futuristic) producer of our time! I would rate the Neptunes next but Tim will be always 1st! Timbaland has been Beating ...down for the last 6, he is entitled to one mistake! I cannot believe he lacked on his own project. And where was Magoo? I was...

Let me break down the tight tracks for you:

Drop -- This is a club song that starts out with a hip-hop beat and ends the rest of the song in a club beat. A good way to start off the album. This should be a single. The best I have ever heard timbaland flow.

ALl Y'all --- This has a tight hip-hop beat with a midtempo flow. It sounds different with the chinese chimes and different instruments in the background with tim and magoo flowing over it. Tweet tops it off with the smooth R+B vocals. (Tweet is another singer to watch out for)

Its Your Night - This has a mid-tempo club flow about taking it easy and just enjoying yourself. I like the flow of this track. For some reason magoo sounds like snoop dogg on this and sin sounds like a biggie imitation but the track is still good.

Indian Carpet - This track has a climatic flow on it with piano playing and gregorian chanting in the background. Another track where tim and magoo gets to flow a lil more.

Party People -- This one has a hard bouncy Hip-hop beat with jay-z giving anthoer one of his best flows. reminds me of jigga what --jigga who a lil bit but tight track. I could see this as another single. They all give some of their best flows on the cd on this track.

People Like Myself -- This track has a indian beat with a hard hip-hop base line.....very different. Once again showing how tim can swicth it up. maggo gets to shine more on this track.

Roll Out --- Petey Pablo gets to shine again on another hip-hop country beat that will have your head nodding. All the different sounds in this will take a whiel to pick up but once you do you cant help but to think...."tim is really on a different level". tight!

Love Me -- Petey Pablo and Tweet come back for a tight slow jam on this one that sounds very futuristic but laid back and smooth at the same time.

I am Music -- Here we get to hear Aaliyah(aka "babygirl") sing on another hot song from tim again. She sounds real good singing with static here. The track has a tight slow jam with a Hip-hop beat to it.

Overall this whole album is tight. I only mentioned the ones that really stand out but trust me when I say everythign is good here. Fans of Tim(like myself) will really enjoy this cd. Even non-fans should check this one out. This is a party album mixed in with a few slow jams but overall the vibe is upbeat. It has a flow like their previous albums but to me this one comes together the best overall. What else can I say about this except to just pick it up A.S.A.P. Its all about the beats and sounds here and one genius producer with partner in crime to show you how its done.

Get It!

This CD is so dope. I'm a huge fan of Timbaland's music and his productions, but since I haven't heard his entire first album, I can't do any comparison. but I DO have this one, and I do like it. there are hot club tracks with him and magoo, but there are also some good slow songs on there that showcase other's talents. I like this piece, it's dope.

This album is off the chain. I been down w/ Timbaland since his 1st record and this album proves why Im stickin w/ him. Im a music producer n this record aint nothin but ear candy both instrumental and lyrical wise. Nowadayz its hard 2 find legit producers who keep me either bouncin or bobbin my head constantly. Timbo does his job 100% bringin out full potential on every track. U should def. cop this record if u in2 pushin the lines of hip hop music 2day n lookin 4 a new sound.

I was really looking forward to hearing the two comedian's bounce off one another. This album has entirely to much Petey Pablo and I really don't like his voice. Also the album comes off as a compilation of Outtakes of others albums he produced. The first 6 tracks are Hot to death and then the album takes a generic turn for the worst. Then it picks up a bit with the Tweet song "Love Me" and AAliyah's "I am Music". This really shocks me considering the first album was so creative throughout and had alot of MAgoo? This could have been a return of the Dynamic Duo and it was ruined by to many guest appearances and some spare tracks. Tims Bio, is a far more satifying effort even without Magoo's presence all the way through. We all know that Timbaland never stops Beating these Ni**az up side the head! Your still the man though everyone knows. He proved that on Missy's "Under Construction" and definitley on Justin Timberlake's "Cry me a River!" Also we must not forget the superior "MS Jade- Girl Interupted LP!" Which is Bangin' from start to finish! Timbaland probably was having Girlfriend Problems or a Kool Aid Break! Please don't "Beat" us down or hurt us to hard Tim" we know you are coming for Revenge it's already here! And it started with Ms Jade, which is a masterpiece in the Timbaland production Archieves!

5.0 out of 5 stars Continuing the Reign, November 28, 2001
This review is from: Indecent Proposal (Audio CD)
Let's face it Timbaland is the man. He consistently produces hot tracks from everyone from Aaliyah(RIP) and Ginuwine, to Missy, Bubba Sparxx and Petey Pablo, to Nelly Furtado, Jay-Z and NSYnc. Everything with his name on it turns to gold or should I say platinum.

Don't be foolish. If you buy a Timbaland & Magoo album looking for some outstanding lyrics you're only fooling yourself. This is strictly beats and flows with catchy lyrics and choruses. The first single off the album, Drop, is a real club/party joint and I have no clue why it didn't get played more. The current single out now, All Yall, is a definite hit. The beat is signature Timbaland. He amazes me at how he continues to drop tight songs while maintaining his style AND innovating all at the same time. You should definitely buy this new Timbaland cd. It contains absolutely outstanding production and a brand new Aaliyah song, I Am Music, which is tight to def. This sadly will be Timbaland's last album but that doesn't mean he will stop producing all together. This album is just as tight as Welcome To Our World. All The songs are tight but my favorites are the aforementioned ones as well as Indian Carpet, Party People, and Love Me. Guests include Petey Pablo, Tweet, Aaliyah, Static, Ludacris, Jay-Z, Twista, Mad Skillz, and Sin. People say Magoo is a bad rapper. Nay I say! He abandons his wacky off the wall style for a more even and better flowing Magoo. He is tight, for his purpose, the Perfect compliment to these Timbo instrumentals.

I cannot recommend this cd enough. It could make a strong claim for album of the year. Break Ya Neck beats........everything is there. Highly recommended from me. A Full Five Stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Timbaland's B-side's, June 7, 2003
By
Chris Cohen (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Indecent Proposal (Audio CD)
Timbaland has always had a talent for producing some of the hottest tracks known to hit the air-waves. Such artists to have the privilege of working with the great Timbaland include Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Nas and many more, the list goes on and on.

This album doesn't really live up to the expectations of some, proving that Timbaland hasn't given his all on this album and on the contrary deciding to let his "B-side" tracks control the majority of this album.

Fortunately, Timbaland and Magoo do have some hidden beauties in the form of "All Y'all" and the sonic-filled "I am music" which does show that Timbaland can produce a few good tracks on his own work should the appropriate single be required to attract the ever-so widening audience.

Overall I recommend this album to the new generation of hip-hop lovers and the hardcore Timbo' followers but unfortunately this album has more filler than killer which could leave some listeners with an impression of someone with great potential yet to display full potential through his own work and collaborations.

I felt that Timbaland & Magoo should of came through with something more than an "Indecent Proposal"/Album is so-so/It's like a movie you want to see but can wait till it comes to video/With an array of artists on the album you would think Tim can't miss/But the beats ate the artist like praying mantis/Jay Z and Ludacris survived/Happy to be alive and tell their story/Magoo will never receive mainstream exposure/In closure, 3 stars cause Tim thrives as a beat explorer - Dimpals a.k.a "Leroy"

2.0 out of 5 stars Dissappointing, November 26, 2002
This review is from: Indecent Proposal (Audio CD)
I tried to listen to this album without being dissapointed but I just can't help it. His last album with Magoo was a classic in by book. But now it's just sad. From this it is safe to say that Timbaland has gotten rusty over the years. You would think he would put more effort into his own album but that's not the case here. I love the beats he makes for Missy Elliot's new album but I wonder why he didn't use the same influence on his own music. Because of this, Timbaland has lost a major fan.
