Three months ago a client falsely accused psychiatrist Dr. Colin McKenzie of indecent behavior. His lawyer advised a shift in his practice and celibacy until the case could be resolved. Then Lucky Clayborn enters his office and all bets are off. Sentenced to counseling after her second D.U.I, Lucky immediately captures Colin's attention with her flaming hair and fiery temperament. When she seeks him out alone, Colin immediately warns her that he cannot engage in anything of a personal nature with a client. So she changes councilors. Colin provides an explosive attraction that Lucky has not experienced in a long time. She determinedly sets out to engage in an affair all the while protecting her heart. Lucky leads a difficult life trying to stay ahead of her painful past and existing from paycheck to paycheck. But Colin manages to touch something deep within Lucky, something she carefully protects, and suddenly Lucky will have to decide if the good doctor is worth the risk of love. Authors Tori Carrington pen an engaging romance in INDECENT. . As always, the writing team Tori Carrington reveals their fabulous talent for a unique balance in the male and female perspective, resulting in prose rich with complexity and characters who really live. Colin's struggle with his ethical dilemmas and remarkable insight into his work by the end of the novel reveals a character of deep complexity and reveals striking growth that nicely parallels Lucky's transformation. Strong willed and independent, Lucky struggles to balance the past with the present, using alcohol as a tool. With Colin's entrance in her life, she rises to the occasion, transforming into a powerful woman who risks everything when she lets him beyond her defensesINDECENT comes very highly recommended.

The Doctor Gets Lucky, June 14, 2004

Toledo, Ohio - Present Day Colin McKenna has been unlucky in love, but the day Lucky Clayborn walks into his office, he senses his luck is about to change. She works dead end jobs to support herself, and doesn't want to get involved with men, except to have sex with them. Colin is not the type of guy she goes for, but he is persistent in pursuing her. One night he shows up at her door and the two connect and burn the sheets. But will it last? Colin cannot explain his attraction to the lovely Lucky, but he knows that he wants her in his life for more than a few hot turns in bed, but can he convince her to change her mind? But first, he has some legal problems to solve, as his professional future is at stake. And he needs to know what makes Lucky tick and break down the wall she puts up. INDECENT is the second book in the "Sleeping with Secrets" series, and it is another white hot sensual story from the dynamic writing team of Lori and Tony Karayianni aka Tori Carrington. It is a somewhat emotional tale, as the secrets they each carry seem insurmountable, but Colin and Lucky are able to surmount them and attain happiness together. Readers will enjoy this tale of a couple who are unlucky in love but who find happiness together, and I cannot wait for the next installment of "Sleeping with Secrets."

engaging contemporary romance, June 27, 2004

In the Toledo, Ohio area, psychiatrist Dr. Colin McKenzie has stopped one on one practice because of a client accusing him of indecent behavior. Additionally, the serial dater has not gone out in three months based on legal advice. He keeps cool by going on long runs and taking cold showers. The court sends Lucky Clayborn to attend a DUI group session hosted by Colin. Though she jokes about cold medicine causing her second infraction, both are stunned as they are immediately attracted to one another. Lucky feels her luck has changed and tries to seduce Colin. He wants her badly, but with a potential ethics violation hanging over his head and his morality about doctor-patient relationships; he tries to use the right head. However, cold showers and three hour runs cannot cool his blood, which refuses to cooperate by racing southward away from his brain. This is an engaging contemporary romance starring two fine characters. Colin is an ethical individual who struggles with his attraction for his patient and knowing he must not see her, as he still counsels her. Lucky rejects his notion of no relationship while she sees him professionally. The crash makes for a fun time for readers. Harriet Klausner
