I don't know how she does it actually. Independence Day is an example of how a singer can blow a studio apart while recording. If you listen carefully to Martina's recordings where she really gets down and belts it out, you realize that they are using compression heavily on her voice to control the immense power she has. This is amazing to me because she's such a tiny thing. She must have huge lungs that go down into her abdomen and she stores her stomach and other organs down in her thighs!
I enjoy the emotional way she can rip up one song and sing sweetly in the next while maintaining a fundamentally perfect country music voice with tonality that gives me chills. She's also obviously a nice person with family values and compassion for others, and I like to see nice people do well. I've got a classic hits CD and a couple others by Martina. I've never been disappointed.

She has a good voice although I really don't like country much. I bought it because I listen to Sean Hannity on the radio and this is his opening song!
