This product's description was pretty sketchy but I went ahead and ordered three of them, hoping they would work out for a display case project I was working on. To get an idea of how long the batteries would last, I set up a test using a photographic light meter. I opened one light and and inserted 6 fresh AAA batteries. After only three hours on high, the light output had dropped by 75%! At that light level this unit would have been useless for my needs, not to mention the number of batteries I would go through. Product returned.

I ordered two of these lights to use in my newly installed bedroom closets. One was placed under a shelf to provide light to a shelf and drawers below, and another was placed on a rear panel of the closet to light a larger area. They work well, although are not quite as bright as I would have liked. They do provide just enough illumination to be able to discern different colored pants, tops, drawer contents, etc., however, which is really all I needed.

I had to change out the hook and loop fasteners that were provided for a more "industrial strength" type, as the lights fell off the panels of my closets a few times using the H&L fasteners which came with the units. They now seem to be permanently affixed and I wouldn't hesitate to order more of these lights for other closet-type applications where no other light source exists. They also look nicer than some of the other closet lighting fixtures I've seen. Lastly, I like that they don't automatically turn off after a short time - they stay on until you turn them off at the switch.

I'm quite disappointed in this light. The illumination is weak. Instead of using the screws to under-mount this light, I chose to use the supplied adhesive strips. Regrettably, the strips don't hold the light up for more than a few hours. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this light and am quite disappointed with my purchase.

I needed something to put under my new cabinets in my breakfast room without running new wiring, installing a wall switch, etc. This little puppy fit the bill quite nicely. The three independently-pivoting light heads allowed me to "focus" the down-lighting where I wanted it... one light pointed toward a piece of framed art against the wall in the center; the other two lights pointing down and slightly angled to highlight the items on the shelf below.

I do think it's a little bit pricey (thus, the 4 stars instead of 5), but all in all, it's worth it! Since I don't turn it on very often, it will take several years before the cost of replacing the batteries will come anywhere near what it would have cost for installing new electrical wiring.

A very minor criticism is that there is not much difference between the two brightness settings (the "low" setting was actually a bit too bright for my particular situation). That said, if you need something for accent lighting in an unwired area, I highly recommend giving this light a try.

I have a glass top Computer desk with a slide out keyboard tray. I tried a few different gooseneck desktop lamps to light the keyboard at night so I wouldn't have to use the room's main light. I wasn't happy with any of them. I kept getting the AC cords of the lamps tangled up with the telephone cords and different system cables.

I ordered this light and problem solved. The velcro holds the unit quit well to the bottom of the glass desktop where it will light up the keyboard for night time use in the dark. The ON/OFF switch is conveniently located so you can easily turn light off while using the mouse and not typing. The Hi-beam is a little too bright and glares off my keyboard, but the low-beam is just right.

This light is great for anywhere you need extra light but don't have access to a electrical outlet! I put them throughout my house and they work great. The light is not super bright, but it does give off a nice "accent" light. The screw bracket is really easy to install! What an easy fix for dark areas!

I already have a few different Rite Lite lights which I love, so I didn't hesitate buying these too. My son has a collection of Disney figurines in his bedroom. I needed a light which had multi-directionality to highlight all of the figurines, not just a section. These lights are perfect! Great buy! Thanks Rite Lite and Amazon!

What a bummer. I was duped by what the manufacturer said these lights would do. They don't! Waste of my time installing them under my cabinets and now I probably won't get a full refund because I threw the packaging away. They give off a bluish light and very little of it at that.

Actually I'm running strips of the 3 and 4-lamp swivel fixtures off of a 1.5 volt power supply in the living room and hall. I attached HO model railroad track onto decorative ceiling wood and snap the LED fixtures onto the track with clips for mount and electric pickup. They're beautiful...and the cost is only a tiny fraction of what an equal track lighting system would be. And 100,000 hour LED's all on only a few watts of power. I'll keep adding these to my system. For the battery folks...remember that there's no free ride, light output for battery use. If you're going to put a lot of hours on it then get some little AAA rechargeables.

These are great little lights. They really put out the light, and have a high and low beam. I am on my second order of them, and have bought both the 3 and 4 light units. We have an older house with limited electric outlets and lights. They work great for areas that need light but have no electrical access. I have one over my kitchen sink for better light there, and under the cabinets on each side. One over the washer and dryer in my small laundry area, and two large ones out in the storage shed, one in my hall closet. Two I have set back for emergency lights where needed. People that have seen them are also ordering them. The products are great and so is the price and service. I may be getting more as I find more places they can be used.

As our electricity suppler in this area is expensive, it is cheaper to burn the wireless lights with batteries than the electric lights. The LED seems to make the batteries last a long time. I have a large one that stays mobile, we move it to wherever we need/want it and use these lights often to save on electricity.
