5.0 out of 5 stars They finally out did Mostasteles!
In my opinion, this cd is a masterpiece, mostly because of their new producer Seven. Anybody who listens to Tech N9ne knows that this guy has got skill. Most of the guests work great on this cd, especially the Dayton Family. I was a little disapointed the the songs they did with Proof and Bizarre but other than that every song is banging. No real variety in this cd. The tracks are kind of the same. You hear about monsters and serial killing. Maybe about three tracks really worth listening to. The beats are alright but could be better. Blaze Ya Dead Homie's new cd "Clockwork Grey" has more plays than this one.

Aftering hearing this, The Tempest and the sampler for Blaze's "Clockwork Gray" 2007 is looking like Psychopathic's best year for music since the late 90's. Highly recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bit Soft, December 7, 2007
This review is from: Independents Day (Audio CD)
As we all know, Twiztid isn't for the faint of heart.

The most memorial album created by Twiztid would have to be Freak Show, and in my opinion i was hoping that this album would be as hardcore, but it isnt.

I got the impression they where running out of things to sing about...getting a little stale in places so they bought in some other artists to bring in a freash flavour. We all have high expectations of Twiztid..and i didn't feel hugly impressed.

HOWEVER!! For hardcore fans of Twiztid...get this album, it's been in my CD player for about a month now, it has some very memorial tracks and the beats are great with Jamie and Paul delivering some serious lyrics as always.

For those who are not huge fans of Twiztid, or havn't heard them before...go for Freak Show. Just seems to me they have gotten a bit lost in their direction in this....it's not the Twiztid we all know and love.

4.0 out of 5 stars Learn to READ!!, September 7, 2007
By
This review is from: Independents Day (Audio CD)
I've seen a few people on these reviews say, "independence day" in reference to this album. IT'S NOT, "INDEPENDENCE DAY"!!!!!!!!!!! Like it's the 4th of July or some s***! It's, "Independent's Day"!!!!!!!!!!!!
Note the different spelling, the apostrophe, and completely different meaning of the two words. It's INDEPEDENT(apostrophe)S DAY!!! Meaning, a day in celebration to those who are independent. Quit being illiterate and stfu.

Btw...great cd from Twiztid. Monster's Ball is my favorite track.
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because not every track makes you say, "Oh S***"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album!, July 6, 2007
This review is from: Independents Day (Audio CD)
This album is a masterpiece. Not only do Twiztid shine on this record, but it is the final verse that Proof ever spit on record before he died (RIP). The track with the Dayton Family is pure fire. As does the track they did with Tech N9ne. A solid effort. Don't miss out on this one.

Its always a good day when a new Twiztid album emerges from the depths.

This album was originally supposed to have a guest artist on every track. To my surprise there are 4 tracks with no guests. While each track is equally fresh with just Madrox & Monoxide, it's really cool to listen to these special guests show love to Twiztid the way they do. Especially when they've got monsters from the underground by the likes of The Dayton Family and Tech N9ne. Twiztid could have put another album out with just Jamie & Paul on every track but a few, but they did this album for themselves while at the same time still holding it down, sticking up, and showing love to their fans throughout the whole cd. Besides the usual suspects of Blaze, ICP, and R.O.C., there's a handful and a half of other guests. My favorite tracks are 1 through 14 with one of my favorite highlights being on "Sex, Drugs, Money, & Murder" when the infamous Shoe String & Bootleg from The Dayton Family show love and give props to Twiztid.

If you like Twiztid, you'll love Independent's Day. This cd introduced me to some other groups like (hed) p.e. and Potluck that I knew of from Subnoize but probably wouldn't have listened to if it wasn't for them having guest spots on ID.

Besides the very cool glow-in-the-dark album cover of the shot-up zombie-lookin' Uncle Sam. Inside the case reveals the release date of Blaze Ya Dead Homie's long awaited new project "Clockwork Gray" as well as shots of Twiztid with their new face paint and a fold-out poster.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Word: Impressive., July 5, 2007

From the opening song to the closing track Twiztid jumps all over with an array of syles, special guests, and beats from the midwest the the west coast. It flows perfectly from track to track, and to hear some of the best from Psychopathic, Strange Music, and Sub Noize on a single track is worth every cent. If your already a Twiztid fan then why are you reading this and not buying/listening to it already!?!? You knew it would be a work of art before you heard it! If your not already a Twiztid fan, then know this: Twiztid gets better and better with every album, and this is no different. They've been making music for well over ten years now and you can hear that fact in every song they make, BUY IT NOW! It won't dissapoint.
