A dictionary of 24,000 trade names of polymer products, including the names of source materials for polymers (monomers) and other substances that are important for the production or processing of polymers. Listed with each trade name, most of which are registered trademarks, are the chemical substance name, the name of the producer (when stated in the literature), and the CAS Registry Number (when available). Registry Numbers also contain information concerning the type of substance concerned: whether it is a low-molecular substance with a defined molecular formula, or a polymer listed in the CA Formula Index at the molecular formula of the monomers from which it is formed, or a polymer listed in the CA Formula Index at the molecular formula of its structural repeating unit, or a substance whose structure is unknown and for which a molecular formula is not available. Since trade names are used widely in specialist literature, this book will be an indispensable reference for anyone dealing with polymers.
