Grade 4-6-Interesting titles that provide a wealth of information about professional and amateur sports, the games children play, and different types of physical recreation in each country. The layout is attractive with clear typeface and eye-catching full-color photographs. Students will find ample information for reports on the major sports, although in the United States, sports such as tennis and hockey receive a one-page overview and rugby is limited to one paragraph. India is quite fascinating, explaining about Yoga Asanas (the body positions of yoga), Surya Namaskar (religious exercises to "greet the sun"), folk dances, and combatives. There are other titles that deal with specific sports and some that expound on games around the world but these two series entries give fresh, exciting overviews of the physical activities in two very different countries.
