Michael Freeman's India Modern is packed with big, well-composed images of modern Indian interiors, which is exactly what I was looking for. I especially appreciated the fact that the Indian flavor of the interiors remained intact -- that the spaces weren't so modern and homogenized that all sense of place had been removed.
