About the Author

Daisy Meadows is the pseudonym used by Working Partners, the creators of Rainbow Magic and other successful series like Animal Ark. Georgie Ripper is a talented young illustrator who has won the Macmillan prize for illustration. Disaster has struck Fairyland! Jack Frost has stolen all the jewels from Queen Titania's crown. Each stone controls a particular aspect of fairy magic. Without them, the fairies can't use their magic fairy dust or make pictures in ponds of water. They can't even fly! The fairies can't let the power disappear from fairyland into Jack Frost's evil hands. Rachel and Kirsty have to help India the Moonstone Fairy, Scarlett the Garnet Fairy, Emily the Emerald Fairy, Chloe the Topaz Fairy, Amy the Amethyst Fairy, Sophie the Sapphire Fairy, and Lucy the Diamond Fairy - to get the jewels back... before it's too late. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars JEWEL FAIRIES SERIES, August 13, 2007

This review is from: India: The Moonstone Fairy (Rainbow Magic: The Jewel Fairies, No. 1) (Mass Market Paperback)
The first book in the series of Jewel Fairies (Ruby) I bought was for my granddaughter Eden, she really enjoyed the book and wanted the other books in the series. Since receiving the books, she enthusiasticly has read all that I ordered for her. Hope the author continues to write more books for this series for I will continue to purchase them for my excited granddaughter.

Anytime that we can get a child to read, it opens the door of possibilites for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daughter loved it and and couldn't put it down!, August 23, 2011
This review is from: India: The Moonstone Fairy (Rainbow Magic: The Jewel Fairies, No. 1) (Mass Market Paperback)
My five and a half year old just read this book and insisted that I enter a five-star review. She's a starting reader and has just begun on chapter books. This is the first chapter book she couldn't put down, and she read it in one day. She liked the fairy theme and the collection of other fairies, and that there was a good adventure and a fun story. She would recommend it highly to readers just beginning on chapter books.

My daughter, India, loves this book, especially as she can see her name as something other then a country in its pages. What makes even more special, as they are trying to stop Jack Frost, her brother's name is Jack. This book has helped her improve her reading with her excitement over the character names.
