This review is from: India: The Moonstone Fairy (Rainbow Magic: The Jewel Fairies, No. 1) (Mass Market Paperback)
The first book in the series of Jewel Fairies (Ruby) I bought was for my granddaughter Eden, she really enjoyed the book and wanted the other books in the series. Since receiving the books, she enthusiasticly has read all that I ordered for her. Hope the author continues to write more books for this series for I will continue to purchase them for my excited granddaughter.

Anytime that we can get a child to read, it opens the door of possibilites for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daughter loved it and and couldn't put it down!, August 23, 2011
This review is from: India: The Moonstone Fairy (Rainbow Magic: The Jewel Fairies, No. 1) (Mass Market Paperback)
My five and a half year old just read this book and insisted that I enter a five-star review. She's a starting reader and has just begun on chapter books. This is the first chapter book she couldn't put down, and she read it in one day. She liked the fairy theme and the collection of other fairies, and that there was a good adventure and a fun story. She would recommend it highly to readers just beginning on chapter books.

My daughter, India, loves this book, especially as she can see her name as something other then a country in its pages. What makes even more special, as they are trying to stop Jack Frost, her brother's name is Jack. This book has helped her improve her reading with her excitement over the character names.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great series for young girls, January 19, 2011

This review is from: India: The Moonstone Fairy (Rainbow Magic: The Jewel Fairies, No. 1) (Mass Market Paperback)
My 9 year old has by now read about all of the Rainbow Fairy books. They are generally very well written with decent b&w illustrations on almost every page that's appropriate for the age. The length of the book also makes it easy to finish easily so you can move on to the next one. The characters in the book also generally show good manners and will not be a negative role model for the kids.
