About the Author

Sunjoy Monga is a naturalist, writer, wildlife cinematographer and photographer with a deep commitment to the environment and natural history issues. Second-prize winner in the 1991 BBC British Gas International Photographer of the Year competition, he was cameraman and consultant for Channel Four's documentary series In Search Of Wild India, as well as the Indian consultant to the BBC natural history project,The Trials of Life. Sunjoy Monga is a member of the Bombay Natural History Society's executive committee and presently co-edits their magazine Hornbill. Former associate editor of Sanctuary and Cub magazines, he regularly contributes articles on natural history and environment to leading publications. He is the author and photographer of the acclaimed City Forest: Mumbai's National Park(IBH), and has also written Mumbai Nature Guide(IBH) andBirds of Mumbai(IBH).
