If you can bear to color these well-done pages, they are worth doing. Each page has the story of an Indian chief and his picture. These are not happy accounts, and in many cases they gloss over dreadful details. Still, the descriptions convey what it meant to be an honorable leader in peacetime and in war. Good book for older children - middle grades and up.

We colored a few of the pages -- a very few -- but left the rest alone as more of a reference book.

This was a gift for a 10-year old; she loved it. It came on time, was in great condition, and is a well written book.
