Book Description

This is a unique book on Indian Vaastu. Although there are several books on Indian fengshui-vaasstu- none of them are found suitable from the point of view of an american reader. Firstly as most of the books deal with Hindu Gods and rituals they are of no interest to an ordinary American. Secondly the construction norms followed in USA and India are different. Hence what is suitable for india makes little sense in American buildings.

The Author spent over four months in USA travelling from coast to coast and studied the vaastu of Single family homes, custom built houses, town homes, apartments, business and industries. He is well aware of the building rules and regulations in USA. The book is specifically written for the american public so that they can take advantage of this subject to enrich their lives. The book explains vaastu as a science of energy fields and how the fields interact inside a structure.. This is a unique theorey developed by author and has been widely acclaimed by the rational minded readers. The theory is easy to understand and easier to adopt.

The book also explains why Indian vaastu is far superior compared to chinese Fengshui. A must for every one interested in such subjects.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent coverage of American Homes, January 29, 2011
Wow! I must say that reading this book has changed my wrong opinion of Vaastu as simply a requirement that "door must be in the northeast....and this must be here..".

This book is very down to earth in explaining the reasoning, and rationale behind Vastu concept. That reasoning you may find in other books too, but this one explains them in relates to standard features in homes in the USA.

It covers walk-out basements for example, or powder-room and location of HVAC, attached vs detached garages and many things only in US homes, which you cant find in general Vastu articles on Indian websites.
This is an excellent read, and highly recommended for anyone looking to buy/build a home, or even town-home/condo searchers.
I would have liked more example floor plans, or more figures to explain words at places and was about to give it 4 stars. But I think at this price it deserves 5 stars for sure. ( I would like to mention that i bought the online download version at vaastubook.com for $5)
