4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Independent Film!
I've been waiting for this film to get to DVD ever since I saw it in Universal City at the Cinema City International Film Festival. It won "Best Feature Film" and many of the cast were there walking the red carpet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story
Though the story line was good, I was disappointed in the acting in the first 2/3 of the movie. I've seen Matt Dallas in a show where his acting seemed natural, believable but it seemed forced in this movie until the last 1/3. The other adult actors were really bad in the first 2/3 of the movie though Alison Haislip's acting was pretty good throughout. I don't know...

I've been waiting for this film to get to DVD ever since I saw it in Universal City at the Cinema City International Film Festival. It won "Best Feature Film" and many of the cast were there walking the red carpet.

This movie delivers on many levels, great story, good for family (I'd say PG-13), beautiful setting near the California coast, and terrific acting. It's a sleeper as it entices with the cool exterior and mystique around an antique Indian motorcycle, and carries a powerful punch through its moving, and finally uplifting story of a strained father-son relationship. The love story between the two young actors also heats up the screen, as well as the music by Dishwalla.

I give the film 4-stars only because it lacks the special effects and polished look of a multimillion dollar blockbuster, but that should definitely not dissuade you from seeing this awesome story. Don't just listen to me, here are some of the awards this Indy film has received:

Best Feature - Cinema City IFF
Best Screenplay - Breckenridge Film Festival
Best Ensemble Cast & Best Newcomer (Matt Dallas) - Monaco Film Festival

I highly recommend it too!

The Indian was rewarding and time well spent. The film keeps the viewer wanting to learn more about the central characters. The Indian is well scripted, crafted and visually appealing - depicting teen angst, the bond of family and redemption with a "twist". Kudos to filmmaker James Gorrie!

The other adult actors were really bad in the first 2/3 of the movie though Alison Haislip's acting was pretty good throughout. I don't know what happened but it all seemed to come together in the last part of the movie and I could see that the actors were feeling their parts, finaly!

I was lucky enough to see this movie at a film festival and eagerly awaited the dvd release. It is such a wonderful story and the movie has incredible performances by Matt Dallas, Alison Haislip and Sal Landi. I highly recommend this movie.

I put this movie in late at night fully expecting to hit pause and go to sleep, to my amazement I couldn't hit that pause button, I watched the whole movie to the end even though I was tired and it was very early in the morning when the movie was finished. This movie is heart warming, emotional, and definately a keeper for my DVD collection.
I am thankful that movies such as this are still being made. The story was interesting, the actors were very powerful and I am so glad I bought this film.
