If you are looking for a place to start with Modern Indian Philosophy, this is a good book. Indian Renaissance which began in the nineteenth century with philosophers including Aurobindho, Vivekananda, and reaching its magnificence with Gandhian philosophy. The Ideas presented are complex and written within historical and social context of India under British Rule. It is hard work and not for beginners in Indian Philosophy
