Dharma Dorai is a family movie of the idiosyncratic characters of Rajnikanth's brothers who exploit his innocence for their personal gain. Rajinikanth, Saranraj and Nizhalgal Ravi are three brothers. Of the three brothers Rajini is guileless. His brothers Saranraj and Nizhalgal Ravi who are groomed by Rajini trap him into misery.
