About the Author

Angelika Taschen studied art history and German literature in Heidelberg, gaining her doctorate in 1986. Working for TASCHEN since 1987, she has published numerous titles on architecture, photography, design, contemporary art, interiors, and travel. Deidi von Schaewen, who has lived in Paris for thirty years, is a contributor to a range of international periodicals and a filmmaker, and has published numerous books. Her publications with TASCHEN include Indian Interiors, Fantasy Worlds, Gardens of Provence, and Inside Africa. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

I suspect you will agree - this book is filled with beautiful, intriguing stories & photos of all sorts of homes, furniture, buildings, etc from India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

I'm not really sure how to classify this book, but it has lots of great home, decoration, and furniture ideas. It's mostly a photo book, but it also has some stories and quotes. This is also an inspirational source for painting & colors, or just anyone interested in learning more about the far East.
