The soundtrack for Last Crusade has many of the familiar themes from Raiders of the Lost Ark, but it's a bit of a lighter mood, reflecting the film itself. Overall, it's probably not as dramatic as Raiders, but it has its moments. I particularly like the fact that the Nazi theme is better defined and more ominous. You can really pick it out in the middle of the album. If you do want this album though, be sure to get the 2008/2009 release as it has 6 additional tracks. Also, the Indiana Jones: The Soundtracks Collection has an additional disc with several tracks of previously unreleased Last Crusade music.

I had the old CD of this soundtrack, which was good, but this is even better. Has some extra tracks that it was nice to hear again. I love John Williams' soundtrack work, but this may be my favorite because it has so many tunes he didn't use in any other Indy score.

This soundtrack from Johnny Williams is sublime. Terrific themes throughout, and an all-around great performance by the orchestra. Rates right up there with his strongest works (Star Wars, Superman, Jurassic Park, Hook, Raiders of the Lost Ark). It sounds like Williams enjoyed himself on this one. Really wonderful music. If you like records that are energetic, thoughtful, bombastic, memorable, and worthy of repeated listening, then consider buying this soundtrack, and when you're finished with that, buy it.

I'm sort of a soundtrack junkie, and this is one of my favorite movie soundtracks of all time. John Williams is brilliant.

Now I have all four soundtracks to the movies. John Williams is the greatest. I'll be listening to this after I listen to the soundtrack to the second film.
