About the Author
Dick Wolfsie books, produces, and hosts daily live segments for the Channel 8 morning news at WISH-TV (CBS), in his hometown of Indianapolis--usually with his dog, Barney. In all, he has created some 3,200 shows featuring offbeat goings-on around town and around the state. Dick's syndicated humor column compilations, Life in a Nutshell, and his recent Dick Wolfsie's New Book are local best sellers. This active author has also hosted shows on radio, cable, and network television.

You'll enjoy this book even if you don't live in Indiana -- and you'll definitely enjoy it if you do. Packed with the odd and unusual, this book was filled with surprises even for me, and I've lived in Indiana for almost 20 years. Strange things you'll see along the road, folks who collect or build wierd stuff, bizarre legends and history... Dick Wolfsie explains them all with both wit and respect, and turns in a first-rate book that you should have with you on any daytrip you take around the Hoosier state.

This book is really intersting and funny! It offers so much information about IN--things you never knew that are great trivia! Great for planning day trips in the state, too!

A fun & light-hearted book with just the right amount of info to make you want to take that side trip and search out the highest spot in Indiana, the best ice cream store or an animal preserve. Dick has a great way with words. Every car in Indiana should have this book!!
