This review is from: The Indiana Dunes Story: How Nature and People Made a Park (Paperback)
This little, 60-page booklet, includes about a dozen chapters of a few pages each. They cover various aspects of the Indiana Dunes, including physical geography, natural history, and human uses of the dunes. The authors are citizens active in the National Lakeshore and affiliate organizations. As a result, they are all people who love the dunes, and tend to be uncritical about the park's worth as a preserved area. The booklet includes some pleasant illustrations.

There isn't a lot of information available about the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, so this is a good source if you're interested. It's interesting for its length but I wanted much more in-depth information. There's also some repetition across chapters, perhaps because several authors passed away and were unable to revise their chapters.

The booklet costs $6.95 in the park bookstore, so compare that price to whatever's on offer here.
