Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine is a puzzle solving action-adventure game for the Game Boy Color. Search for treasures, fight monsters, solve puzzles, and uncover stories.

2,500 years ago the Babylonian god Marduk built the mysterious "Infernal Machine" in the foundation of the legendary Tower of Babel. When the tower was destroyed, the machine was divided into four parts and hidden in various destinations across the world by Marduk's high priests. Join the race against time as Indiana Jones, as you try to join forces with the newly formed CIA in capturing and retrieving the parts of the Infernal Machine before the Russians do... and discover their purpose.

Product Description

The Communists are trying to reassemble a machine that will open the door to a parallel universe. However, many of the key parts are missing. It is up to you as Indiana Jones to search the globe and recover the pieces before the Soviets do. You will have to run, jump, swim, and fight his way through 19 levels of action. Luckily, you can use a whip, pistol, machine gun, and grenades on the Soviet soldiers, spiders, scorpions, snakes, wolves, jaguars, sharks, jellyfish, and poisonous lice you encounter. After completing a level, you will be treated to a cinematic clip that will advance the plot and reveal the password you need to continue the game. The world will only be safe when the missing parts are recovered and the Communist threat is quelled in INDIANA JONES AND THE INFERNAL MACHINE.

Frankly, I expected more from LucasArts. I've played other games by them, including the N64 version of this title, and they were excellent. But the GBC version has poor graphics, poor control. It's hard to figure out what to do, and even harder to do it. The button use is unnatural, it's very easy to die with a misstep. The password save system is old and outmoded. I don't know what else to say about it. It just doesn't live up to the Indy name.
