The 12" talking Indiana Jones is a nice keepsake to have if you are a fan of the Indiana Jones series. It runs on two AAA batteries. The hat is removable. The doll also has a miniature idol head from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" as well as a miniature pistol and two whips (one coiled & one elongated). When you press the stomach button Indy's mouth opens once and you hear the phrases. Unfortunately the mouth doesn't keep moving to do any lip syncing with the pre-recorded phrases.

My only complaint about the doll is I wish it would include some phrases from the new film, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", but on second thought I just couldn't remember any memorable phrases from the new film? I also wish they could have included the phrase "This is Serious" from "Temple of Doom", but the current list is OK. Otherwise, this is a great keepsake for all Indy fans young & old.

Ok, first the good: There are some great movie quotes, that are easy to understand (audible sound quality, unlike some of the earlier Hasbro talking 12" Star Wars figures) Now the bad: THIS
DOES NOT LOOK LIKE HARRISON FORD ONE BIT! The figure's face actually resembles one of the bloated Baldwin brothers...LOL I got the original Kenner 12" Indy figure for x-mas in 1982 when I was a kid, which at least somewhat resembled Harrison. Also this figure's hat is all wrong. The brim is too short and it's band is unpainted. This figure's design was obviously done by someone new, or by someone who simply did not care about making an authentic looking toy. But, for a 4 -10 year old who just wants to play in the dirt, this toy is ideal for some fun make-believe adventures.....

I went shopping yesterday to buy an Indiana Jones 12" figure and this is the one I bought. Now the reason I chose this one is that it was the only Indiana Jones left on the shelf, but I am glad this is the one I bought. I have read that the other variation has the fedora permanently attached to the head (not fun) and does not include the almost required jacket. I grew up in the 70's with 12" Adventure Team G.I. Joes so this is right up my alley. Don't keep it in the box, thousands, probably millions will be sold so just play with it and enjoy. The best feature is the mouth that opens when you press the talk button, WAY COOL! It does not include the satchel, though, which I believe the other variation does. It would have been better to just make one combo Indiana Jones with all the accesories and tricks, but that is marketing for you...

My son loves Indiana Jones so he plays with it a lot as the other figure that came also with him.

When I heard about the new Indy movie, knew that meant merchendise would pour in like Star Wars . When I saw these at Target, figures they had a ton of Germans and whipping Indys. No problem. I waited and the next time I was there, Indy was gone. After days of phone calls I passed by a talking Indy at Target, I took it because it was the last one and I didn't want to be sold out. This one is really cool and has this wierd little poster that has all his phrases (what do you do with it; I'm not hanging it up on my wall, it's ugly.) His accessories are great (aside from the whip) and if you put his hat on right, it looks okay. I wish Hasbro used super articulated bodies like the swordsman and Nazi, and not bothered to make the mouth move (it ruins the entire head sculpt) and the hands are bad at holding the accesories. But I would recommend this to play with to any one (except the kids that will attach firecrakers to it.)

I just received this figure today and thought wow...
This is great. I actually thought of ordering the other variation, the one with the hat glued onto the head because I am using this for my RC Alligator Tour Air Boat and was worried that the hat will fly off. But this will do, the hat is actually tight enough that it will not blow away. Look for this in youtube soon. I will have a video of it driving the airboat...Look for BinosaFamilyCircle in youtube.

I love the moving mouth when you press the button. You can actually keep pressing it to sync with the phrases. It's not a collectible because they are going to make a ton of this figure, but it's good for scale figure if you're using it for RC boats and RC Helicopters.

This is an excellent product.

Purchased this toy for my Grandson, The sheep whip broke within an hour of taking out of box.
poor quality, not satified, but I guess there is no toy that is child proof.
I am not going to comment on the rest of the toy, but will say the whip is very sheeply made with little flexibility.

I am not a regular shopper, but I was very pleased with my purchases this year and the speed I received them. The Indiana Jones doll was for my 16 yr old Granddaughter who had never seen this part doll and was thrilled. The timeframe for shipment was great and very much appreciated.

This was given to my son right after the last Indy Jones movie was released. He was excited to receive it and played w/the action figure for about 2 or 3 wks. Since then, it's been sitting on his bookshelf w/his Ben 10 action figures. My son has always taken care of his toys and have always treated actin figures as collectors items w/o my input.

This action figure is a must have for any Indiana Jones fan. He is sturdy and well made and my 5 yr old loves the fact that he has his whip and his favorite part is that he talks. Indy is a great role model and although there are a few scary parts in some of these movies, he is still an American hero working for the good. There are references to the Bible, lessons in history, no cussing and no sex scenes...a true wonderful role model for the new upcoming generation.
