5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Entertaining Indy Comic
I really enjoyed this comic, and hope there are more to come. The storyline is kid friendly, with a line or two geared toward adults (would go over the kid's heads). The illustrations and back and forth between characters embodies the feel of the Indy movies (especially Raiders), and is an entertaining read for kids (10 and up?) and adults alike.

3.0 out of 5 stars Darker Indy
I'm a big Indiana Jones fan and I like this comic a lot but to be honest it doesn't resemble the Indy I know from the movies. He is a bit darker in this story, he goes after the prize, uses whomever he can and doens't think of the consequences.
A great story to read but not a typical Indy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Norse mythology and Indiana Jones....a good blend., July 22, 2008
This review is from: Indiana Jones Adventures Volume 1 (Paperback)
This was a very refreshing installment to the Indiana Jones world. The characters were strong, recognizable, and accurate. The story was funny, child friendly, and peppered with enough racy humor and interesting history details to appeal to a wide range of adult readers as well. I especially liked the timeline (which would be before Raiders) and also Indy's first run in with the Nazi's.

I look forward to the next volume in this satisfying new series that made up for the somewhat dismal film.

Also I noticed the author has another comic coming out in the fall, I think I will be checking that out as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not terribly exciting, but great art, October 26, 2010
This review is from: Indiana Jones Adventures Volume 1 (Paperback)
I stumbled across this tiny Indy comic by chance, and what caught my eye was the art style, which is similar to the recent Star Wars CGI series.

As far as the plot, it's pretty typical, about Indy trying to recover an artifact from the Nazis, and it honestly seems a little short (considering the size an that it's intended for younger readers, maybe it's not such a surprise).

Still, it's worth a look for anyone who's a fan of comics and the Indiana Jones movies. It gives you an idea of how Indy would play out as a cartoon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally...a good alternative for Indyphiles, April 5, 2010

Fantastic book. I'm not a huge fan of the "animated look", but reading this made me dream of how fantastic Indiana Jones: The Animated Series could be. They somehow managed to make this accessible to all ages, while keeping it true to the mythos.

Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Adventure, March 5, 2009

I sat down with my son and read the book while he looked at the pictures. We bought it since he was into Indiana Jones and needed to do a book report. He cannot read yet, but he understood since the comic style layout adds a great deal to the story. He was drawing some of the pictures in no time at and, and before he knew it, he had finished the book report without any problems; he was nervuos about it. This book is entertaining and stays true to the Jones theme and saga. Great buy.
