I bought 2 of these hats for my 2 boys on April 23rd, 2009. As I write this on August 3rd, 2009 **Update: 4/1/10**, I **still** think these hats are incredible.

My 8 year old wore this hat literally EVERY DAY between April 23rd and today 8/3/09. That is over 3 Months of abuse, and the hat still looks great. ***Update 10/25/09: It's now October, and it is still holding up to daily abuse even after 7 months.
***Update 04/01/10: He's still wearing it, and it still looks decent. Starting to get a little floppy on the brim, but it's been abused daily for almost a year!
***Update 08/17/10: He's still wearing it. Still loves it. He still gets compliments on it.

He always gets compliments on his hat when we go out, and it has been great built-in sun protection this summer.

Yes, he even wears it to school, and his friends think it is cool, too.

It is real felt. It is a very respectable thickness of felt material, although it is a bit thinner than an old Brooks Brothers felt fedora that I had laying around (of course the Brooks Brothers one cost 6+ times more!).

It is still a nice shade of brown even after all that sun exposure, and after being dropped in the lake, worn at the beach, worn in the rain, etc, etc. I would say that there has been some color fading, but it is even, and you only notice it if you compare the inside of the hat to the outside. The only other thing to mention is that the ribbon is only glued on, and it rapidly becomes unglued, and could come off the hat and get lost, but the hat is felt so it stays on well with friction, and my son never lost his.

He puts it on when he wakes up, and only takes it off in class at school, or right before he hops into bed. He even puts it on after bath so he can wear it while brushing his teeth. I think he would wear it to bed if he could, he loves it so much.

It's a perfect fit for my 8 yr old; slightly large for my 4yr old, but still fits well enough.

These are worth every penny. Don't think twice, just get one.

Just got this hat today so I can't attest to its endurance; however it seems to be a well-made wool felt fedora: much nicer than expected for this price. ($12.35) My son was quite pleased with this addition to his Indiana Jones Costume.

I was very suprised at the quality of this item. My grandson wants to be Indiana Jones for Halloween and we are putting his costume together. I wasn't expecting a hat as nice as this one ended up being. Very happy with the purchase.

My nephew has been diagnosed with mild autism spectrum disorder. When he likes something he really likes it. All summer he was ready to go on an adventure, just like Indiana Jones. He said he couldn't go with out a hat like Indy's. I knew I could find what I wanted on Amazon.com, and I did! When my nephew opened the box with Amazon.com on the side his smile was priceless and I will always cherish it. The hat has held up remarkably well. The only places that he doesn't wear it is school and church.

This hat is great, especially for the money (~$12.00). The hat overall is much better than I expected it would be, the weight of the felt is really good for this type of accessory. Authentic looking, durable(the ribbon slipped off after rough play,no big deal I just put it back on) and really cute on my son. I purchased this hat as a Indiana Jones Halloween prop for my 9 year old and he just loves it. As a prop, the hat is fantastic, and for everyday wear my son thinks it's great too!

I bought this as a gift for my nine year old nephew. The quality of the hat is nice and he LOVES it!

Nice hat, well made. My grandson has had hours of fun, climbing through the woods and chasing the "bad guys" with this hat. It's holding up well.

Felt construction; good quality for the price. My son (age 5) finds it mostly authentic and he has advidly studied exactly where the bumps and creases are on IJ's hat.

My 5 year old loves this hat. He can't stop playing Indy and this is the best accessory to do it. Quality material and a special official "Indiana Jones" emblem on it too. Its a nice size that will fit for a while also. Nice product overall!

This is a high quality hat. It has an "Indiana Jones" pin on the side, and our seven year old son loves the hat!
This is a much better hat than one that came with a costume we ordered from a different vendor.
