This novelized version of the fourth Indiana Jones movie proved to be exactly what we needed to satisfy my eight year-old son, an avid reader who is not yet allowed to see the PG-13 movie. Having read novelized versions of all three earlier films, he was eager to find out what happened in the latest story. This version was challenging, engaging, and expressed the spirit of the story very well. In short, for younger fans of the character, it is a perfect substitute for the film.

Are you craving for adventure? Well then here is a book for you! The name of the book is called Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It has 160 pages. The author's name is James Luceno.

The summary of the book is Indy and a friend often called Mac, are in a desert in Mexico looking for a treasure. Unexpectedly Russians kidnap them and bring them to a secret storage building. The Russians are looking for a treasure called the Crystal Skull said to hold the secrets of the universe. As they do find it, Indy escapes and the fight for the Crystal Skull is on!
My favorite part of the book is when Mutt is swinging on the vines because it was so monkey like and one monkey got on Spalko's jeep and she threw it off a cliff.
The most important thing I learned from this book is when you put your mind to something really hard, you can do it.
Other books are the ones before this are the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, and the Last Crusade.
My recommendation is that if you want to read book, good idea. This is mostly a children's book but you probably still want to try it. It is one of the best books I read!

5/24/09 Read the book, then listened to the audio while on a long road trip! GREAT. Much better than the movie. The movie missed alot of the story AND action!

To see Indiana Jones again in A new feature is great , and perfect to the Indiana Jones Series.

Great book, true to the movie. My 9 year old loves all the Indy books! Much better price than in the stores.
