The comparisons between the old Marvel adventures of Indy and the Dark Horse adventures are inevitable--especially since Dark Horse is putting out the old Marvel stories in these omnibus editions. (For which I am very grateful, Dark Horse!)Comparing the "new" adventures side-by-side with the old ones in these editions, I cannot declare an absolute winner. I think the Dark Horse artistry is better, but I prefer the Marvel story-telling. Crisp, short stories that are filled with Saturday-morning-serial thrills just like the movies are my preference. So, if I could, I'd give these Marvel editions a half star more than their Dark Horse counterparts.
