If you're familiar with any DK books, you know what you're in for here: amazing photographs and plenty of information covering Indy's adventures.

In addition to the films, the book also touches on Indy's adventures in comics, video games and the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles TV show. My only 'complaint' with the book is that the most recent film is not covered in as much detail as the originals.

Otherwise, if you're bothering to read reviews for this book, you should plan on getting it!

I bought the guide as a gift for my nephew and his father, both HUGE Indy fans, and they love it! It is very comprehensive, especially the Indy time- line, which incorporates all Indy lore, even the Young Indy TV series. Neither my nephew nor my brother can put the book down.

I think that this is a great addition to any Indiana Jones catalogue. It is a companion book to all of the movies, tv episodes, books, games, etc. from the Indy universe.

The only complaint I have is that this book does not show the same attention and detail to the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. This book was actually released BEFORE the film came out (I got it right when it first went on sale), and it seems like the lack of info on the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was due to either makers not wanting to release too much before the movie actually opened, or the lack of info on the film at the time. Even though characters of the new film are given book time, the actual plot to the movie is missing, leaving the Crystal Skull section a little empty when compared to the rest of the book. That is the only reason why this book was knocked from a solid 5 stars to 4.

But don't let that distract you. There is a WEALTH of information and photos that will satisfy any fan, casual or fanatic. With a subject as great as the Indiana Jones universe (or Star Wars universe for that matter), we are lucky to even have these new films to both reminisce or pass on to OUR kids...

Good book! Great visual reference. Clearly a lot of imagination went into producing some of the original artwork for this book, plus it shows some neat photos and design work NOT seen in the movies or the television series. If you're an Indy fan you'll love this!

I thought it would be more like a intresting fact book but it was more like a kids picture book. I'm a big Indy fan so I was looking for more.

This book is AMAZING! They couldn't have done a better job making an Ultimate Guide Book about Indiana Jones. It includes over 100 large color pages with photos, drawings & text about Indiana Jones - and it's HARDCOVER! I don't know what it is, but paperback doesn't seem authentic. The hardcover really completes this book. All the movies, and the TV mini-series are included in this incredible guidebook. Whether it's a gift for a kid, or a collection piece for an adult, this book is worth EVERY PENNY. My favorite parts are the drawings of the layouts for popular movie set locations - like the Temple that had the boulder racing after Indiana in Raiders of the Last Ark. And the 2-page part about Indie's gear - From Fedora to boots, the give you the skinny on all of it. Very detailed, unique & EXCEPTIONAL.

I purchased this book as a gift for my son on his 7th Birthday & I'm sure he will treasure this book FOREVER. If you're looking to buy a book about Indiana Jones, THIS IS THE ONE!

This book is amazing. It chronicles every story that Indiana Jones has ever been in. From movies to comics to video games and more, it give a timeline and tells the complete story of Indy's life. A MUST HAVE for any Indiana Jones fan. If you like Indy, you will buy this book, or spend the rest of your life wondering what might have been.

As a fan of the Indiana Jones series, as well as the DK books, I picked this up for myself and another copy for my brother, an Indy fan in his own right. And I was pleasantly surprised by the details of Indy's life I DIDN'T know about.
I've been an Indy fan since "Raiders of the Lost Ark" which means I've had books and seen documentaries, and they prepared me well for this, but there were still snippets I hadn't imagined, and I loved.
Definitely pick this up for your favorite Indy fan--it's visually and intellectually appealing. A great gift!

This is a really nice book and my son gets a lot of enjoyment form it - well worth the money.

Esta INDIANA JONES THE ULTIMATE GUIDE incorpora anemamente toda la informacion y anecdotas basicas sobre las aventuras de Indiana Jones dentro y fuera de las pantallas, incluyendo datos de su produccion y merchanding relacionada.Lo resaltable son los diagramas presentados, y las buenas fotos presentadas. Poca informacion sobre la ultima pelicula, y obvian las "sorpresas" del hijo perdido y el matrimonio, lo que daña en cierto modo lo completo de este libro. Bien que hayan incluido algunas aventuras de los comics y las novelas. Mal que hayan dejado dejado totalmente de lado al anciano tuerto Indiana que salía presentando algunos episodios de la serie de TV del Young Indiana Jones. A pesar de estos detales, vale la pena comprar este libro si eres fan de Indy, pues no creo que se encuentre uno mejor por ahora.
