5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY...AN EXPANDED SCORE!
This has always been one of my favorite Indy scores. I have always wanted the score when Indy "approaches the stones," and now I have it! I also like the expanded sequences from the mine fight.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best!, April 13, 2009
This review is from: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Original Motion Picture Soundtrck] (Audio CD)
This is best score in the Indiana Jones franchise (well at least in my opinion). I give the 5 stars for the score written for the film overall and am happy that the new soundtracks are remastered in which the sound is impeccable. There is only one tiny complaint...just wish the entire score was available, but I digress lol. P.S.- I'm still not sure as to why some reviewers rate a certain product because they had a bad experience with a certain seller in which it has nothing to do with the product itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars The soundtrack we should have had 20+ years ago., February 5, 2010

I often wonder what goes through the minds of marketers or producers when they release a product that's half baked. What do they say or contemplate to themselves? Something like, "Aw, who cares about all that other stuff anyway?" or "Screw 'em, they're lucky to be getting this!" or "Heh, I simply don't care."

Whichever, this is the beautiful music to a very entetaining film that we should have had many years ago, but are only now getting after two and a half plus decades?

Oh well. Just be glad you have it.

5.0 out of 5 stars John Williams is awesome!, February 17, 2009
This review is from: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Original Motion Picture Soundtrck] (Audio CD)
I'm glad that I bought this CD along with the soundtrack to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Now I have all four soundtracks from the movies. This is John Williams at his best. I was also happy that it had the song Anything Goes on here (it wasn't in the track listing). I'm listening to it right now. Thank you for re-issuing the original soundtracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Soundtrack To A Surprisingly Dark Installment In The Series., September 12, 2011
This review is from: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Original Motion Picture Soundtrck] (Audio CD)
The soundtrack for Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom is surprisingly lighter fare than the movie itself. The Mine Car Chase is quite fun, as is The Fast Streets Of Shanghai and Short Round's Theme. The only dark bits in the soundtrack are Bug Tunnel/Death Trap, The Temple Of Doom and Children In Chains. Yet, John Williams has managed to make even these tracks light-hearted, which is interesting considering the overall tone of the film. Oddly enough, the famous Raiders Theme is present during the film and end credits, despite it being a prequel to Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Whatever your opinion of the film may be, check out the soundtrack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the movie, June 23, 2011
This review is from: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Original Motion Picture Soundtrck] (Audio CD)
Temple of Doom is in some ways the runt of the Indiana Jones films, less popular because of its darker atmosphere. However, this soundtrack is actually one of the better ones. John Williams combines the Indy themes from Raiders with music that evokes India, or at least "the exotic east." Unique for an Indiana Jones soundtrack, Temple of Doom also has a song and a choir track. The "temple of doom" chant is really scary, evoking satanic worshippers. However, if you want this soundtrack, make sure to get the 2008/2009 special edition release because it has additional new tracks. Also, the Indiana Jones: The Soundtracks Collection has an additional disc with several tracks of previously unreleased Temple of Doom music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long awaited release, February 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Original Motion Picture Soundtrck] (Audio CD)
I had the original, minimal soundtrack for "Temple of Doom" on cassette when I was a kid. I never understood why they didn't release it on CD, so this is a welcome treat! Almost twice the music that was on the original. Some of my favorite themes from any of the Indy movies. Great stuff!

Excellent to see this old favourite.

I was happy to see this at a good price and had the award winning music from Composer John Williams, who is the master when it comes to film scores. I had this on tape before and since Technology has moved on I thought it was about time I replaced the tape with this polished version on CD.

1.0 out of 5 stars A lemon, April 4, 2009
This review is from: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Original Motion Picture Soundtrck] (Audio CD)
When I ordered the item, Amazon sent me a detail of my purchase; I also received an acknowledgement from dvdlegacy, the Seller. However, having waited past the due arrival date, I queried the Seller and received no response. I then contacted Amazon, only to find out that the Seller was no longer active in their system. How long that had been the case was not discussed, but I was then informed that, due to company policy, I would have to wait another 5 days before Amazon could take any action. They began a review process on the 31st March. I was notified that I would receive a reimbursement on my credit card, but that it might take two weeks. One day after that, I was notified that the reimbursement had been authorized and would reflect on my credit card statement. Though I was happy to receive the reimbursement, I was annoyed at having to wait 22 days to find out that I was not going to receive an item from a Seller that Amazon [once it had looked at its records] found it knew was no longer trading! -I believe there needs to be a more thorough system of checks and balances; certainly the technology is available for such up-to-the-minute vetting.
