The most important years of the greatest spectacle in racing, December 11, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Indianapolis Racing Memories 61-69 (Hardcover)
Photographer David Friedman was around during the most important decade of the Indianapolis 500. With access to the track, stadium and pits that are long gone, Friedman shares his view of the rear engine revolution; the brilliant invasion of World Formula One Champions Brabham, Hill, Clark, Stewart and Rindt; and the triumphant partnership of Lotus and Ford.
The book has very little text, but the pictures bring life to a spectacular era in American racing.

Indianpolis Racing Memories 1961-1969, January 4, 2011
This review is from: Indianapolis Racing Memories 61-69 (Hardcover)
Nice Pictorial on Indy in the 60's although there is too much Lotus-Ford,Ford-Engine Coverage(I am aware of Ford's Domination and "Total Performance" Era,sadly they overcame the Offys). Not enough of coverage of the brief appearances of the Chevy Engined Cars that ran unsuccessfully such as Mickey Thompson's car And None at all on the SDP ROADSTER Chevy engine. very brief on The Buick Engined cars,Nice photography mainly Black and white and some color.
