Book Description

October 18, 2007
Jet and her robot dog, Otis, have been taken with Jet’s two sisters— one of whom has a role in the latest Super-Movie—to their planet’s film capital, Ollywood. Jet and Otis are soon catapulted into the unplumbed underworld that lurks below the studios and lots. Here lies the beautiful and sinister otherwhere of Indigara, which has spontaneously generated from the sets, costumes, models, and actual celluloid of rejected pilot fantasy and SF movies that never got made into series. Even while girl and dog try to survive the dangers and terrors below, their Indigaran mirror images have replaced them, and are running amok in the real world above….

4.0 out of 5 stars Indigara, March 4, 2011

This review is from: Indigara: Firebird Novella (Hardcover)
Indigara is about a 14 year-old girl, Jet, and her robo-dog, Otis, and the adventures they find under the city of Ollywood. There is an underground world there that has come to life from the plots of old movie pilots. While Jet and Otis are in this new world, there are also doubles of them back in Ollywood creating some trouble.

I really enjoyed this book. I realize it was super short, and at times there were some areas that could have used more detail or explanation, but that didn't really bother me. I loved the worlds she created, and I thought Jet's dry sense of humor and look on life was entertaining. Otis was probably my favorite character though. Overall, I enjoyed the imagery, and though the tale was disjointed at times, I felt that it added to the book.
