This book is a reprint of the original text with some weird typo type errors but most disturbingly

there are no photographs and Rock was a serious, excellent photographer of native Hawaiian trees

showing long gone and full size examples of amazing and rare trees. The book itself is a classic.

Great reference book for anyone interested in this topic. Some of the images the book contains show Hawaiian forrests at the turn of the pervious century and are like nothing we've ever seen.
