Jaw-Dropping!
I found myself "on the edge of my seat" several times while reading this book. There are some jaw-dropping moments when you are surprised at the twist in plot. When I reached the end, I couldn't wait to read the next installment. Definitely a must read!   Dannielle Swihart

Entertained in Bed
I have been on bed rest for many months and I bought it off Kindle. It was very engaging and gave me vivid pictures of what was going on. I felt like a teenager again while reading this story. I like how the story left room for a sequel. All in all a great, fun read. E. Cortes

A Roller Coaster
It has a story line that will blow your mind! I've read good books, but none I have read come from the heart like this. It is like riding a roller coaster of drama, but what makes the ride so scary is that it's just like reality! Where is number 2?!

For Any Age
Absorbing story about 3 decidedly different teens who work together to solve an old mystery. Will interest anyone who knows we are not the only "ones" to exist in this dimension.

From the Author

Paranormal Summer, the first in the Indigo Moon Rising series helps connect the dots between two seemingly different beliefs, that of the Law of Attraction and the Paranormal. For me the two have always lived intermingled, a mystical blend of my knowing, but often hard to explain.

Paranormal Summer introduces the readers to the main characters, Jillian, Sonya and Ryan. The story is set in a small town nestled in the foothills of Tennessee.  Jillian, just turning 15 has been sent away for the summer to her aunt's where she makes friends with others that have 'gifts'. At times she begins to question when she is awake because many of the things she experiences would only be thought of in dreams. In reality, or at least hers, she is being guided onto a path of self-exploration with the help of her friends, an aunt that passed into spirit and some animal guides.

Ryan who is the most cognizant of his abilities learns that his family tree holds secrets that are trying to change history in an evil way. He lives and breathes the unity between the law of attraction and the paranormal. He is an old soul and isn't afraid to use what he knows.

Sonya is from a linage of gypsies who lived quietly with her Grandmother running a bed and breakfast until she met Jillian and Ryan. Now she is opening her eyes to her abilities. From discovering her past life as a healer, to discovering her secret siblings, her soul yearns for the truth of what she is doing here.

Hopefully I will let readers see life from my perspective, showing our connection to everything, and our responsibilities to ourselves and others. Writing this book, for the second time showed me that the possibilities are infinite. And if I 'know' that, then so I am!

Readers can also visit the website Paranormal Summer to see a photo album of the characters.

More About the Author

I, like most people enjoy talking about myself, it can very well be a journey into self-discovery. But this is not fiction, and I am having a difficult time finding my flow to explain who I am.

I was always weird and different; I could see and feel things in a way that was totally different to others. Not on a huge level but more than enough to know there was so much more going on than we could perceive. I always had a deep desire, like a fire burning in my soul, to learn more about the important things of life. I was always looking for answers, exploring everything metaphysical that I could get my hands on. I still remember fondly the glorious times sitting on the floor of the different libraries engrossed in a plethora of topics from the 100's and 200's book shelves.

In the late 80's I spent time in Egypt absorbing history, learning hieroglyphics and numerology. I lay inside the sarcophagus in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid. I sat between the paws of the Sphinx and listened to the morning prayers as the sun rose. My soul actually wept in two locations because I somehow knew that at one time long past this had been my home. Shortly after I returned, I went to Malibu and trained to be a regressive hypnotist. I took classes in channeling, crystals, divination methods, astrology and many others. I had many more psychic experiences as I slowly opened up the portal to the paranormal side.

I have been progressively learning that what seems to make us different is the same as what makes us alike! We all crave the same thing. Connection. We are so blessed to have unique perspectives on everything and yet that one most important factor can bring out our greatness or make us feel alone, abandoned and unwanted. For some reason being different hasn't been looked upon as a virtue.

My views on life, death, spirituality and self-responsibility are my own. Created uniquely through my own experiences. My journey has given me great advantages into seeing the bigger picture and opening my heart to everyone and everything no matter how different! I feel that our purpose is to uplift others giving them unconditional love to see their own greatness.

I am so blessed to be surrounded by a loving and supportive circle of friends and family. They give me the greatest gift of all, allowing me to be myself as I explore who I intend to be. I am learning to practice what I preach, Allow, Accept, Acknowledge, Ask, and Anticipate.

As I continue to write I will explore more of my innermost self, ever questioning everything, even my experiences because I am the observer. I will consciously weave my own perspectives and feelings into the characters, and will probably continue to channel information from another reality. It is amazing how many times I have read over newly written material only to question where it came from, because I know I didn't write it.

My favorite authors/speakers are Neale Donald Walsch, Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, John Edwards, Esther Hicks and Abraham, Doreen Virtue, Colette Baron-Reid and Sonia Choquette. If you are familiar with these names you will notice the context of their teachings are Spiritual, Paranormal and Scientific. I love how it all comes together!

My days are filled with homeschooling the kids, writing, photography, making movies, traveling, gardening and raising butterflies in the summer. I am still involved in the paranormal, and plan to use upcoming experiences in future books.

A chilly or even frigid evening up late with a good book and a hot cup of tea is a great way to ease into a spell-binding paranormal thriller. Make that experience this winter bring chills up your entire spine by delving into Sherry Guyberson's quicksand of plot twists and suspense. Beautifully set in the hills of Tennessee, the story catches the haunting echoes of mystical and superstitious roots of Appalachian culture. The reader will care deeply about what happens to Jillian as she visits an aunt for the summer and finds others with similar paranormal gifts. One of these is Ryan, a sixteen year old young man who is wise beyond his years and learns that he comes from a long lineage of evil. Guyberson rounds out her trio of paranormal main characters with, Sonya, a young gypsy girl who leaves her quiet life with her grandmother to develop her abilities with Ryan and Jillian. Weaving the development of these three characters with helpful spirits, spirit guides, mystical gnosis, and self-discovery as they become pitted against dark forces in a classic style battle of good against evil. As readers are kept up late because of not being able to put down this story, they will be rewarded with hopeful reconciliation and peace. Filled with nearly everything paranormal and a dash of science fiction, this story will not disappoint.

I am probably the only person in the entire world who didn't read the Harry Potter series despite the fact that my sister gave me the book as a gift. I read to the end of the first page and set it aside because I couldn't get past what I felt was cumbersome prose. Paranormal Summer (Indigo Moon Rising) is not like that. However, like J. K. Rowling, Sherry Guyberson has written a richly layered story that tackles the timeless theme of good versus evil. Guyberson pits three teenagers, each on the cusp of discovering their own paranormal gifts, up against the Dark Side. Unlike my attempts at reading Harry Potter, Guyberson's writing style kept me engaged. And, like any suspense writer worth her salt, she brings the story to a cliff-hanger ending which opens the door for the next book in the series. I hope.

You know a story will ruthlessly possess you and not let go when it opens with a detailed spirit contact session. Thus starts this deliciously-disturbing joyride through fear, suspense, multidimenional forces, and, ultimately, survival. Gubyerson's protagonists - Jillian, Ryan, and Sonya - are characters that readers will eagerly root for as they weave through the fear and the intrigue to discover their inner strength amidst the true nature of spiritual reality. The struggle between light and dark while developing their supernatural abilities serves readers with a comprehensive exploration of those realities that are seen and unseen, and the incredible gridwork that has always been there beneath our abilities to perceive.

With writing that is fast-paced and creatively-delivered, Gubyerson pulls readers along on a chilling & breathless journey, with scientific knowledge woven seamlessly into the story - and the result is a plethora of insights are raw, weighted, and real. Paranormal Summer's lucid prose is so well-balanced with the building of character & character relationships, plot pacing, and the unveiling of the multi-layered supernatural mystery that everything the teen characters experience is solidified for the reader. I am eagerly awaiting the next in this series...

Fantastic work, and highly recommended!
