The new Indigo Spirit record is filled with roots and influences from southern music and develops into a well-mixed modern masterpiece. The strings will draw you closer to the different styles of music which include folk, techno and new wave. The album is well mixed but some songs seem to leave you hanging not amounting to much. The music is very relaxing and is great for developing a pleasant atmosphere. Indigo Spirit will touch you without knowing it. Don't let you first impression decide the outcome of the record.

If you want music that both motivates and inspires you as an artist or perhaps music that both cradles and rock your gut, Indigo Spirit should be your first choice.

The work is more like a movement, a story suspended in time.

I think Indigo Spirit is what the Music Awards was created for, too bad one will never see this work there!!

An incredible mix that moves and captures the soul. The CD pulls off the impossible by mixing deep south blues, classical music and modern sound to talk about the "black experience". A bottle of wine and this CD make for a perfect evening.

I ran across this gem while trying out a box of unknown cd's I picked up at a garage sale in Georgia. What a treat! I have several different varieties of music that I play whenever I am working from my computer and this one seems to get the most play. It is relaxing as well as toe tapping. Perfect for those mood swings. Other reviews seem to think that it makes more of a message than I do. Cons are that the words are garbled and difficult to understand, but who needs the words? The music is mystifying and wonderous. GET IT NOW! I love this!

I have always been a fan of a haunting melody. I have always been a fan of music that speaks to my soul. This CD is both haunting and soul speaking. I will never forget the first time I heard this CD, introduced to me by a friend with very eclectic taste in music. The moment the first strains of the cello reached my ears, I was in love. I relaxed, melted, and became one with the music completely.
A fusion of classical, ethnical, blues, techno, and jazz, this CD tickles the very core of what is musical genius.
Do yourself a favor and buy this CD. Listen to it. Feel it. Let it speak to you!

Very Good CD! I would highly recommend this CD be added to your collection of Chill.

I own several kinds of music cds; I must say this one to this date stands out. Whom would have though that the blend of blues and classical, along with a "little chill out" feeling would work out?? Well this one does and done so beautifully. This music will intrigue any...since it falls into a category on its own. I love to see the faces on my friends when i tell them the type of music this is, and upon hearing the first song, again the look of amazement "wow" on their faces. This is a great CD and i agree with another reviewer, all the songs are good. My favorit part is not having listened to it for a while only to come across it again from my vast collection and rediscovering it all over again

Every once in a while a very unusual and original collection of music comes along. I believe that's what you have here. I mean, nearly every track on this CD is stunning. It has the international feel of something you might find in the Putamayo series. However, Indigo Spirit is much clearer in vision and style. It is also far more daring as Indigo is not an compilation of similar music but the opposite, so-called "contrary" music, in this case, delta blues and classical. It integrates these very different root styles without denying or transcending either to produce something truly authenticate. Good for them.

Sacred Spirit confirmed this CD is part of the Sacred spirit collection with their album Bluesy Chill Out and Jazzy Chill Out, where they include in the list the albums Sacred Spirit 1, Sacred Spirit 2, Bluesy, Jazzy, Classical Spirit, Morocan Spirit and Spirit of Silence. One of the reviews suggests that this music is somewhat specific to people of color. Although I am not a person of color, I love this music. It touches me deeply. This music is not about the 'Indigo' spirit is about the human spirit. Yes, one of the songs is about slavery - 'to be a slave' and what it means to the spirit but even so, I personally think that we all as people can (and should) imagine and feel what slavery may do to the human spirit. To be in chains, to be denied love, family, human dignity. The pain in the music is almost palpable. This is one of my favorite CDs
