Anytime Organizer Deluxe 9.0
I purchased this software primarily to track appointments and other events and for the most part it fits that purpose. It runs fine on Windows XP except for one small problem. Occasionally, while setting event details, something causes the window to be minimized below the taskbar where you cannot easily restore it. Pros *Each view (day, month, week, year, adress book, etc.) opens as a seperate window allowing you to tile the windows and view them together. *It is easy to move around within the program, find specific dates, events, tasks etc. *You can set up Groups (birthdays, anniversaries...) and set each wih a certain color. *You can download addiional events such as holidays from the website. Cons *Does not save views - If you tile the day planner view with the address book, only one of them comes up the next time you start the program. *There are several user options that seem to be missing. Weeks start with Sunday and cannot be changed (I prefer Monday). Color options are limited to changing the address book and day planner, but this only changes the color of some text and a small border. The background is white and cannot be changed. *You cannot delete any of the default groups. *Events are not shown the selected color in the month view. *There could be more international holidays to download. Recommendation: It's not a low-cost bad program and from what I've seen it's one of the few with an address book. Check around online. There are several for which you can download trial versions.

I bought this software primarily because of two advertised features:
Ability to import from DayTimer (yes, I have the old DayTimer software) All those print formats So... it doesn't 'import from DayTimer' at all. You must export into a csv file, map the csv file to Anytime format, and then, Anytime will import your data, ignoring the detailed mapping you just did, so that addresses end up in telephone number fields, personal names in organization name... and some data I never found at all (and this is just addresses!) And the print... well, my life is not scheduled in hour increments, half hour calendars suit me better.. and yes, you can select half hour increments. However, when you do that, you only get half a day! I'm deleting this from my hard drive, and writing off the cost as an educational expense (Since I've learned to be more careful before buying software)

Poorly Planned Planner,

I have been looking for a good organizer to replace my outdated Lotus Organizer. I am looking for a quality organizer that is simple, practical and easy to use. Anytime Organizer does not meet any of the criteria listed. The best part of this software is the box. It has great illustrations, pictures and lots of hype. What set this software apart for being bad?
1) The manual is poorly written. Half of it shows you how to install the program. Shouldn't it be automatic and intuitive? It has two pages of pictures of icons, with no explanation what they do; 2) The graphical interface is more like win95 software. The icons are poorly designed and do not utilize the full potential of XP technology. This sum up the whole story for this program; 3) Menu bars and icons are not adjustable. One size, one look fit all, you cannot add, delete or move any of the icons; 4) Entering appointment: if you want to set an event from 9 am - noon. Instead displaying as 8:00a, 9:00a-12:00p, 1:00p, it will display as follow: 8:00a, 9:00a-12:00p, 10:00a, 11:00a, 12:00p, 1:00p. Why all the extra lines? Confusing! This is only the beginning! 5) Synchronization with my pda took 4 times longer, as it sync with every single event instead only those changes were made. 6) Entering the To Do item: You have to set the priority as 1-9 or A-Z. But there is no provision to mark as A1, B3, etc. 7) To mark done with the To Do item, you need to open the To Do detail box to click on the Done box. You cannot click on the item on the To Do list to mark as completed. I have barely scratched the surface. Overall, the program is poorly designed and definitely not worth the money. If it is issued as shareware, the author will be a very poor man!

Do NOT buy this loser,

Acutally, it should be zero stars, maybe even minus ten stars.
I bought this worthless piece of junk application thinking it would be a suitable replacement for the Palm Desktop software I use now. Like the Desktop, it comes with an expense manager, notepad, task manager, calendar, contact manager, and such. It also comes with a wide variety of pre-designed forms. This is what really excited me. What the outside of the box DOES NOT TELL YOU is that the only things it will sync with on any of the PDA devices it claims to support are your calendar, to-do/tasks and contact/address book entries. The remainder of your PDA data will sync into the old Desktop application, forcing you to have to retain it. You cannot import them into AnyTime. So, I decided to scrap AnyTime. This is where the next heartache begins. The uninstaller leaves the conduits in place that sync into AnyTime forcing you to have to uninstall the Palm Desktop as well to remove them. Help is non-existant as well. Individual Software will respond with apologies and tell you they will forward your request but no one actually helps you. My recommendation -- look elsewhere for an alternative to the Palm Desktop. I haven't found anything yet. I had thought for a few hours I had, but... So, before you even try it, be sure to back up your data from your old desktop environment. My back up was two weeks old so you can figure out what I lost in the process of learning a lesson. To the buyer beware. Do not buy anything from Individual Software. Take it from one who knows, you're making a major mistake if you do buy this application.

very good address book,

I bought this software for the address book feature as an upgrade/update to Day-Timer Address Book 2000. Although as the other reviewer says there is room for improvement, I'm very happy with the program. I was even able to use the import feature to bring in my info from DTAB. The import worked fairly well and saved me hours of rekeying.
I miss DTAB's double-sided printing wizard and have not been able to get Anytime to print properly on both sides of a page, but other than that I've had no problems. I like the address book view page and the print layout views that looks onscreen like the actual printed book. I haven't used any of the other program features and can't comment on them.

Networks for 2 or more users; great Palm synchronizing,
By Dr. G. (USA) - See all my reviews

We have owned this product in Versions 7,9, and 10 for our law office for several years. If you need for more than one user to access the program simultaneously, as we do in the office, the program networks seamlessly. You could pay a fortune for a multi-user calendar like this from other vendors. If you have more than two users needing access, you can buy a license. I have seen many complaints in these reviews about technical support; I have e-mailed a couple of times and received a thorough response within 24 hours. The interface for the calendar and address book is easy to use. I highly recommend the program because of features, ease of use, and price. We recently bought a Palm Zire and synchronized it with this calendar; it works perfectly.

I purchased this organizer and found it exceptionally easy to use. It's well worth the price and I use it often. I saw a similar product at an electronics store at double the price that I paid.

First impression - not impressed.
Further on - worse. I purchased this very inexpensive product ($7 or $8) for one purpose: use its address book to enter data and print it out, properly centered and both sides, in 6 inches by 3 inches, for my paper organizer...in Cyrillics. At the first attempt I managed to enter the data in the required alphabet, but in print those characters were garbled . Second attempt - no characters, even Latin, at all, empty page. I tried to contact the tech support by three different methods to no avail. They never wrote or called me back.

In the eight years I have worked in a church office, I have always used paper calendars and planners. I purchased this software two months ago and I don't know how I did without it before! The software does everything that I need it to do. I am especially impressed with the variety of printing options for calendars, to-do lists and combinations. It makes printing out weekly staff calendars a breeze. I also use the repeat option all the time for to-do items and dated events. The address book is a nice feature, though I have not used it extensively. I also like the notebook feature for quick lists. I do not have a palm pilot, so syncing it is for me, no problem. So far, this software, especially for the price, is invaluable to me!
