I actually ordered this from Individual Software's website and they advertise it works with Vista. I should have stuck with shopping through Amazon, they aren't showing it works with Vista. I wouldn't have been tricked into buying it. It doesn't work with Vista. I have tried their "fix" and "patch" and still can't get it to work. It looks like an excellent choice for geneology software and I wish I could get it to work. If you have Windows Vista-be very careful about deciding on this. Maybe the software company will fix the problem eventually. I hope. I only gave it a star because I couldn't proceed with zero stars chosen.

I just read the above review, and it explains a lot. I too have tried it with Vista--in fact I got it when I got the computer. I have had one problem after another:
1. Wouldn't let me print- kept saying to set up printer. It was set up for the computer, and I could not find anyplace in the software to re-set it up.
2. Next day I tried to go into the program and got the message"Cannot find import DLL may be missing, corrupt or wrong version. So now I cannot get in to access my info. And crazy me, I had imput all the information in back until the 1700s on the first day.

When I purchased this version of Family Tree Legends I assumed it would allow me to import the information I have from an older version of the product. I need to reinstall the program but misplaced the original disc. I do not want to have to redo all my family data. I could not find anything in the new program that would allow me to transfer the data so I cannot use it.

Well I have upgraded to Vista and this Program did not make it. It is still on the Harddrive, and I have tried to use the backward compatability mode. That hasn't worked - now I have only one real problem, I have a rather large *.ftl file and no way to convert it. Be very careful even if you have xp because if you ever leave xp, you just might lose all your hard work.
