Individuellos, originally released in 1980, is the third and final release from these German proto-punk/Krautrock legends. Featuring Klaus Dinger (Kraftwerk, Neu!), La Dusseldorf is one of the most important progressive bands to come out of Germany in the second half of the 70s. Ranging from ambient to sound collage to motorik synth and guitar workouts, Individuellos is reissued for the first time ever outside of Germany.

This was La Düsseldorf's final album, and not their best. However, there's still some gems on this synth-heavy album, such as "Menschen 1" and "Menschen 2". The appropriately-titled "Flashback" sounds like it has the same rowboat sounds on Neu!'s "Im Glück". "Lieber Honig 1981" continues the melody of "Menschen", and other than the title, has nothing to do with Neu!'s "Leiber Honig". The album manages to end on a high note with "Das Yvönnchen", a great instrumental that sounds like a track off their debut album. The Japanese reissue of this CD on Captain Trip has two bonus songs from the final La Düsseldorf release, a Maxi-Single released in 1983. Not a great album for people new to La Düsseldorf, but this album can surely be enjoyed by La Düsseldorf fans and 80's music fans.

Originally released in 1980, looks to be Klaus Dinger's third and final post-Neu! effort under this monicker. Not so much as a title meant for the true die-hards but more for the krautrock and experimental fans that have a thirst (and time) to seek out the many obscure titles available as such. Most notable cuts are the title track "Individuellos", "Tintarella", the rocker "Lieber Honig 1981" and the ambient "Flashback". Line-up: Klaus Dinger-guitar & vocals, Thomas Dinger-percussion & vocals, Hans Lampe-synthesizer & keyboards Andreas Schell-piano.

While I prefer the first album by La Düsseldorf, this is still quite essential listening material.
