4.0 out of 5 stars A MOST IMPRESSIVE INTRODUCTION, June 21, 2006
This review is from: Indochine: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
By far, the very first theme - "L'Adoption" - is one of the most impressive ones I've ever heard. Just to listen to that track pays for the whole album. The rest is quite good, anyhow.

3.0 out of 5 stars A cut above the usual, August 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Indochine: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
After an unforgettable introduction with light instrumentation and choir, it is disheartening to suddenly hear the predictable strains of typically Mozartesque string writing. The fast-paced cues contain many notable simple pleasures; the problem is in more musically intimate moments, which are generic orchestrations and ditties, interchangeable from one Doyle film score to another. The assertiveness of the music and the spellbinding opening push it a step above average.
