Well Done,
This review is from: Indomable (W/Dvd) (Audio CD)
Although this is a new genre for Christian, his voice performs seamlessly. The DVD and extra songs are well worth the few extra dollars for the special edition CD

This has been a bad year,

This review is from: Indomable (W/Dvd) (Audio CD)
This has been quite a year for Latin singers making bad career moves, but this is the worst. It's bad enough when someone like Alejandro Fernandez wastes a great voice on dumbed-down pop, but that becomes so much worse when someone with only a voice for dumbed-down pop pretends he has the voice for ranchera. Christian Castro has neither the necessary alpha-male voice nor the emotional expression nor the sophisticated macho sex appeal to carry this music. He should stick with what he's done before and please that audience; some of us are very particular about who is up to the challenges of ranchera. The single star rating is for the quality of the booklet insert; that's the only good thing about this CD.

Discovering Mexican Singer Cristian Castro,
By
This review is from: Indomable (Audio CD)
El Indomable was given to me by a friend from Mexico. It is a wonderful album, and the perfect introduction to music from south of the border. Most of the songs are ballads, sung with nuance and vitality. Castro's vocals are reminescent of the recordings of north American singing genius, Tony Bennett. My favorites are Que Amor Me Quedara?, which opens with a compelling brass horn, and Tu Retirada, yet every song in the album could stand by itself. If you are seeking a new musical genre with infinite class, check out El Indomable.

EL INDOMABLE - CRISTIAN CASTRO,

El Indomable by Cristian Castro is a wonderful and refreshing album. Though everyone has a right to their own personal opinion, I must say that I do not agree with certain negative reviews. This album is a testament to the fact that Mr. Castro is indeed a very versatile performer. One must never judge a performer by his personal life; but, by their talent.
For every taste bud their is a flavor. Some can find a performer's music bitter, salty, sweet, umani or sour. Personally, I find this album to be definetly sweet. Mr. Castro is a true performer whose talent is incredible. I enjoyed this album. And anyone who appreciates true ranchero & mexican songs will understand my review. Enjoy

I don't like this CD! His voice is not for ranchera music and he does not look good in a charro suit, either. I think Cristian should stick to pop music and regular civilian clothes.

There should be a rating below 1 star, for just outright unacceptable...,

Cristian or should I say Cristina, should stick to singing his pop ballads and leave the Ranchera genre for people who don't sound like a female trying to sing these much loved songs. He neither has the vocal range or the feeling to sing these songs. It is quite obvious that he recorded this CD to attempt to compete with Luis Miguel since everything Luis seems to do, Cristian is not far behind in trying to copy him. He should stick to what he does best, which is being the son of Veronica Castro. Quit while you're ahead Cristian.

The CD is excellent with a very nice DVD as well. While is a bit different from his normal singing style, I still liked it a lot.
