Battery wouldn't charge to capacity, so no altitude. Replaced immediately by vendor with Apache. Isolated problem? Great, quick response by MPO.

2.0 out of 5 stars Broke in 3 days, June 18, 2008

Very cool helicopter. It is hard to steer as it is difficult, almost impossible to keep it facing one direction for long enough to move forward but that doesn't seem to matter when you are flying it because it is so much fun.

Downside: very breakable. I received this on Father's Day, 2 days and 5 flights later it's broken and won't fly. First the tail broke off but i was surprised to find that it flew just fine without it. The next flight it crashed into the ground (it does crash frequently) and somehow broke the top of the copter right where the propellor goes in. This must have been somehow holding down part of the engine because now when the blade starts spinning it disengages and quits. I suspect i just got unlucky with this particular break but the amount of damage the helicopter took in just a few flights was suprising.

Despite how much fun i had flying it I cannot recommend this helicopter. It needs to be built of stronger materials. Maybe I'll check back on the technology in a year or two.
