4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
I purchased the air conditioner covers only for the winter months to keep the cold out of our daughter`s room. Honestly, I expected something more elaborated than the two layers of styrofoam foil and fabric, but they do the job. You have to tape everything together and that`s it. For what you get I find the item a little overprized -with a little bit of skill you could...

1.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to put on
In addition to the points made by the prior reviewer (except I was able to get the tape to stick), it is impossible to put the quilted cover on - the elastic is WAY too tight. If you get the next size, the elastic is still very tight - but now the cover is too big and looks awful. Maybe 4 strong hands are needed to get the thing on, which is absurd. Buy bubblewrap or save thin foam - and masking tape would probably be fine. AVOID THIS PRODUCT!

We purchased the air conditioner cover in October 2008 and for us it was a perfect fit. We have no complaint and it was exactly what we wanted. We would definitely purchase again. Good product

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!, November 1, 2009

I purchased this last winter to cover my through the wall Air Conditioner. It works great. It comes with the foam covering, you tape that over th AC first & then you cover with the outer cover. At first use the rubber is VERY, VERY tight to pull over the AC. But after that its almost like it adjusts to the AC. Great for keeping air out of your home through the winter.

2.0 out of 5 stars NEED SOMETHING BETTER, November 2, 2010

I agree with the other bad reviews. I have owned several of these over the years--I have 5 through the wall air conditioners--and I cannot put any of the covers on. They are way too tight. I had to cut the elastic on all of them and they tack the cover over the air conditioners and tape them at the bottom. It is still drafty but better than nothing at all. The market lacks a good fitting cover for these air conditioners. Years ago Sears sold a fitted hard Foam cover that could be painted to match your walls. It was draft free, slipped right over the air conditioner inside the house and worked well but is not sold anymore. Someone should offer these again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect but definitely helps, February 11, 2011

We have an A/C unit installed in the wall of the house and it was letting cold air in constantly in the winter. While the cover has not completely stopped the drafts, there is a noticeable difference in the temperature of the room and the wall surrounding the unit. It definitely helped to have two people to put it on. The elastic is tight, but has a good fit once it is on. I would recommend it to anyone who has a permanent A/C unit installed

5.0 out of 5 stars it works!, January 18, 2011

It works. It comes with a really good tape and some foam for coverage. I also used more foam that I had available as the gaps we had were very wide and we were pleased to discovered it worked like a charm. This winter has been especially rough and I have no complaints at all. I can finally relax and not have to dismount the darn AC this year! Yey!

I purchased this item and I found it perfect for my indoor air conditioner. It does the job it was meant to do, prevents the heat from escaping and keeps the cold air out.

2.0 out of 5 stars waste of money, January 19, 2012

Just got this item. Waste of money. Not worth the $28. I spent.
Does not block cold air, I guess I'll have to buy some kind of a plastic insert to block cold air and cover it with the fabric cover.
The insert they sent with this item is useless.
