I really like this greenhouse for our tall windows in a very old house. I am growing wheatgrass and this was able to hold 8 trays of plants easily. The zipper on the right hand side broke the 1st day about halfway down and I almost sent it back but the importance of my plants took precedence. I could have called about it but decided it wasn't too important. I am ordering another one for the other window. I am very pleased with the results , hopefully the zipper holds up on the 2nd one.

I was looking for a small yet sturdy little house to grow my greens in the house year round. This definitely fits the bill. It is perfect in size, surprisingly sturdy, and I expect it will serve me well for years to come. Very easy to put together, and I will be purchasing a second one in the future.

I would not personally set this outside unless it was weighted at the bottom with heavier pots, or a brick of some sort. Nor would I put it near trees that could have falling branches etc, but, it is Perfect for in your home or a protected area outdoors. The plastic cover is fairly thick, if it's handled with care, it should hold up quite well. It included little ribbon ties in just the right places to keep it looking neat and tidy.

Over all, a great product and reasonably priced for what I received. Thanks so much!

Pros:

1. I assembled it in 15 minutes. Foolproof & no tools are required.
2. Powder coating appeared well done on the metal tubes and wire racks.
3. It looks exactly like the photo and has a pleasing color.
4. Each shelf easily holds six 6" plastic pots with plants or three full flats.
5. Toddlers or big dogs easily can knock this over if not secured.

Cons:

1. Sixteen short metal tubes (four per layer) push into plastic end-pieces (two per layer). Everything just pushes together; and the unit weighs less than 12 lbs assembled. A strong wind will topple it; and it will come apart if tipped over. (Reassembly would not be difficult.) I put mine up against a brick wall.
2. Without reinforcement, the unit is wobbly but usable. You can easily reinforce the unit by tying the wire shelves with wire (not included) to the vertical rods and to the three rods (not visible on photo) under each shelf.
3. Cover is a zippered plastic bag that is not much heavier than an inexpensive garment bag.
4. Price seems a bit high. $49, including shipping, would seem fair to me.

Final Word:

A bit of Ikea (known for innovative use of fasteners) engineering would make this a five-star item. I am happy to have it but expect only two or three years of service. I have it in place at the edge of my patio against a wall. Visitors say "looks nice" and "where did you get it?"

The zipper on mine also broke right away, and I'm disappointed at the flimsy, lightweight construction compared to the one I bought locally. The shelves don't hold much weight and I'll have to be careful what I put on them.
