The INDURO CARBON 8X CT-214 Carbon Fiber tripod is the strongest, most stable tripod ever offered. I purchased a big brother to this tripod and found it rendered outstanding stability. So I decided that I could get a smaller/lighter version and still have enough stability for most of my needs. I was right. It provides just that. Notice also that it comes with a case, tools, and spike feet that can be interchanged with the rubber ones that come on the tripod. I highly recommend the tripod. I use it with it with an Acratech ball head (less than one pound) and it makes a good combination.

I have been very happy with this tripod. It comes with a nice nylon carrying case, so slinging it over my shoulder on a hike is easy. The light weight makes it easy to carry in the field. It opens quickly and seems very stable when open. Overall this is a great tripod.

This is a very high quality Tripod. It works well with with both of my HDV movie cameras and my digital camera. Great for steady pans of a scenic view. I can't see my needing another tripod. Comes in a nice case. The legs are very sturdy and the optional head is very high quality. If the price tag is not a problem, it would be hard to do much better unless you are using very heavy duty pro cameras.
