5.0 out of 5 stars This is FREAKING GREAT STUFF!
Contrary to the previous reviewer's opinion, this is not "extreme" industrial music, indeed it is rather mild by industrial standards, almost melodic, with plenty of vocal repetitions which achieve an almost chant-like quality.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pigface's Martin Atkins Does Christmas
An Industrial Christmas Carol features Martin Atkins and the Chicago Industrial League performing two songs, "The Spirit of Christmas" and "I'm Dreaming of a White Noise Christmas," along with an "Introduction" and an "Outro." 5.0 out of 5 stars This is FREAKING GREAT STUFF!, December 5, 2005
This review is from: An Industrial Christmas Carol (Audio CD)
Contrary to the previous reviewer's opinion, this is not "extreme" industrial music, indeed it is rather mild by industrial standards, almost melodic, with plenty of vocal repetitions which achieve an almost chant-like quality.

The tone is one of detached irony as the vocal refrains tell us to "go to church" and remind us of the "suicide bombers" and "more terrorism than ever before" and that "age-old hatreds never take a holiday."

Released in 1996, this CD is more true today (Xmas 2005) than it ever has been.

If you liked the collaboration of Brian Eno and David Byrne on "MY LIFE IN THE BUSH OF GHOSTS" you will enjoy this little gem immensely.

This review is from: An Industrial Christmas Carol (Audio CD)
An Industrial Christmas Carol features Martin Atkins and the Chicago Industrial League performing two songs, "The Spirit of Christmas" and "I'm Dreaming of a White Noise Christmas," along with an "Introduction" and an "Outro." This isn't your traditional Christmas music, for sure; rather, this is extreme industrial music crossed with a holiday theme. Interesting at the least, Industrial Christmas Carol should delight those who appreciate industrial music or those already familiar with Atkins and the Chicago Industrial League's music.

1.0 out of 5 stars boring, January 13, 2008
This review is from: An Industrial Christmas Carol (Audio CD)
i bought this album a long time ago from invisible's site...listened to it once, and threw it in a box with all the other generic stuff that Martin Atkins has recorded over the years. i stupidly bought it when i was a dumb teenager because i liked killing joke, ministry, etc; bands martin was in for short stints. don't be fooled. anything he's ever attempted to do on his own with out leaching off of more talented and creative artists has been pure lame.
