I own this disc, as well as Hogs on the Highway, and I really like them both. I thought they were pretty bizarre, and then I saw them in person. Now I listen to these discs all the time. These guys are definitely different and, instead of being defensive about it, they revel in it. Their live show is a hoot, and the discs are too.
Be prepared to be surprised if you buy this disc. There is a good chance you've never heard ANYTHING like the Bad Livers!

If you've ever hesitated to purchase a bluegrass album for fear that all the songs will sound like "Foggy Mountain Breakdown," get yer hands on one of these old Bad Livers albums. There's a wide variety of music on each: "Industry & Thrift" features rock and klezmer along with the expected bluegrass and traditional country.

In addition to the tracks listed above, the CD provides a hidden bonus track -- but like most hidden bonus tracks, it's nothing remarkable.

My only complaint is that the CD's liner notes promote the fact that Barnes plays a Nechville banjo, but what brand of tuba does Rubin play? Looks like a Yamaha 621 to me.

I wish these guys'd get back together and make more odd recordings.
